Failed overclock of Pentium G3220 Integrated GPU

Hello, yesterday I tried to overclock the integrated GPU on my Pentium G3220.

I updated drivers and then downloaded Intel XTU, increased ratio from 11.0 to 11.5, clicked Apply and the system froze and then restarted.

Overclock was reset, I am worried, because I have seen people overclock integrated GPUs.

Should I try it through the BIOS?What are the dangers of overclocking, I won't touch the voltage.

I am overclocking the integrated GPU, not the CPU. Is it really the same as the CPU?

Hello lakimens,

I just wanted to let you know that Intel does not provide assistance for overclocking, so in this case the best thing is to wait for another community member to post similar experience or get more feedback on other forums. Maybe you could try with http://www.overclockers.com/forums/ Overclockers Forums or http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/ EXTREME Overclocking Forums - Learn To Overclock Your PC Hardware.

Before visiting these sites, please bear in mind that altering PC clock or memory frequency and /or voltage may reduce system stability and use life of the system, memory and processor; it causes the processor and other system components to fail; it causes reductions in system performance; it causes additional heat and other damage; and affects system data integrity. Intel assumes no responsibility that the memory, included if used with altered clock frequencies and / or voltages, will be fit for any particular purpose.
