Hello JimChoo,

Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.

For me to better understand the issue that you encounter, I need to gather some information. Please help the details below:

  1. What is the model of your Graphics Controller?
  2. What is the model of your processor?
  3. What is the brand and model of your system?
  4. Are you referring to the onboard Audio driver or the HD audio driver from the Graphics that is rolling back?
  5. Can you share some screenshots of the issue?
  6. Which Firmware are you updating? And can you share some details on how did you updated the Firmware?

If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.

Best regards,

Hi,
Here are the details of my system as requested:

What is the model of your Graphics Controller?
No Graphics Controller. Using the Processor's graphics.

What is the model of your processor?
The i5-11500 LGA 1200

What is the brand and model of your system?
Biostar H510M motherboard

Are you referring to the onboard Audio driver or the HD audio driver from the Graphics that is rolling back?
I think it is the onboard Audio Driver, which is what I get when I run mmsys.cpl .

Can you share some screenshots of the issue? Which Firmware are you updating?
No screenshots available.
The following is my latest update:

Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics - Windows*

Installation successful

2023-12-30 4:27 PM
Description:
This download installs Intel® Graphics Driver 31.0.101.5084/31.0.101.5122 (WHQL Certified) for Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics, Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics, and Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors with Intel® Arc™ Graphics.
Version:
31.0.101.5084
Release date:
December 29, 2023
Size:
1003.1 MB
"

I have stopped further updates as the one after this also rolled back my sound system from 5.1 Surround to only Stereo.
The above latest update forced me to use 7.1ch Surround for my System to work, when I actually have a 5.1ch system with 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer - actually a 5.1ch!

And can you share some details on how did you updated the Firmware?
From Intel's webpage:

Intel® Driver & Support Assistant

This application provides driver and software updates for your Intel hardware.

Thanks for the attention to my complaint.

Kind regards,
Jimmy

Hello JimChoo,

Thank you for the update.

Let me check, since you are referring to the firmware and onboard audio driver of the board.

Have you tried Contacting Biostar regarding this issue?
