Graphics Driver requiring external monitor or else black screen

So when I installed Win 7, I installed Splashtop remote desktop it requires me to update my graphics driver. When I upgrade it though, it gives me a black screen at login. I had this same issue when installing windows 10 and knew I had to connect an external monitor to see what im doing. I know its the Intel HD Graphics driver because when i boot to safe mode or use the external monitor, and roll back the driver, everything works perfectly. But then I once again have an outdated driver. I can remote in through other 3 computers and my phone so it's just the issue with this laptop (Dell Latitude E6410) Is there a fix to this?? I really need this to work in order to work on school assignments when out and about, which i usually am
