_I am having live TV distortion in Media Centre. the horizontal edges of the screen are magnified, looking like the interlacing is going wrong? The live TV is from sat DVB S2 card that works fine using its own play back software and codecs. I have tried replacing codecs and overriding parts of Microsoft Media foundation but to no avail. I have the latest Intel drivers for HD 4000 (9.17.10.2932 ) running with an i7 ivy bridge 45w processor on Window 8 64bit, running on a Sony TV through HDMI in 1080p (although the same distortion can be seen on a Samsung Monitor). Is this a driver issue with Microsoft Media foundation?

Hello,

I recommend you install the monitor drivers, try the graphics drivers provided by the system manufacturer, do not use a any video adapters, and for last to test a different monitor.

Michael

Hello,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried the above and still get the issue. It seems to be just WTV format video, recorded and Live TV, when I check the Media Centre Debug mode it say interlacing is off. I have found low quality TV station playback with correct aspect ratio. The problem is with all major Freesat UK channels (I guess H.264?).

I have taken recorded files from another media centre that play fine but not with this system. The system is based on a Gigabyte http://uk.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4140 GA-Z77-D3H (rev. 1.0) Motherboard. It seems that the Intel Graphics Driver combined with WTV video is not working correctly?

Regards

Mark

Hello,

I apologize for the slow response.

I recommend you use a different recording media player since it looks like the problem is related to the

Windows Recorded TV that you are currently using.

Regards,

Michael
