HD 5500 Graphics Control Panel incomplete display of the menus

Hello,

I can't use the menus because of this display issue. The laptop is Dell Inspiron 3543, W7-64 and driver version is 10.18.15.4279.

This driver was installed automatically after deleting the driver provided by Dell for this laptop which was 10.18.14.4112. I had this

issue also with the old driver.

I did also uninstall the driver for NVidia graphic card that came with the laptop, but this does not help.

I have no other display issues, but I want to use the menus.

Hi calin13,

I suggest you to uninstall and delete the current graphics drivers from your computer first. Then, run Dell's Detect drivers application; it will search for the latest drivers for your computer. Please select Drivers & Downloads tab

Your system has switchable graphics and our generic driver from downloadcenter might not work properly.

If problem continues, reply with Intel® System Support Utility results. I will be glad to help you.

Hi Mike,

I did uninstall the current graphic driver, but the system is asking for a reboot and after reboot is installing automatically

the same graphic driver.

Dell driver detection reports that everything is ok, but Intel graphics control panel looks the same.

Please tell me how can I attach the Intel SSU scan saved file?

Anyhow, the report tells that Intel HD 5500 is offline and NVidia is running or full power.

If I uninstall NVidia driver, then Intel HD 5500 is running or full power, but this does not effects the way Intel graphic control

panel is displaying the menus.

Regards,

Calin

Hi calin13,

The link below shows you how to copy and paste the results of this thread.

Now, there are switchable graphics in your computer, it is necessary to install the latest Intel driver, latest Nvidia driver and it is necessary to install a third driver provided with Dell; this driver connects the first 2 drivers. If graphics not working properly, it is necessary to contact Dell support for further assistance.

I will be waiting your results in order to resolve the issues.
