I have to start a new thread.
i5-3570k-HD4000 Win 7 SP1 drivers 2696 and 2752, following issues noticed
- Final Fantasy XIV Benchmark: texture corruption and flickering seen in on scene. Here a screenshot: http://s1.directupload.net/images/120530/shlkrzr8.png http://s1.directupload.net/images/120530/shlkrzr8.png
- Dirt 2 (Steam version): (Bink?) videos on game start are very slow and choppy at ~12 fps, nothing major though
- Just Cause 2 Demo: stuck on loading screen on game start with every driver. Google says a lot of people suffer from this issue with other GPUs too but I never had this on my i5-2500k-HD3000
- all directx games: Anisotropic filtering not working when forced in control panel. Nothing new though because same story with HD3000. Bad for games without ingame AF option.
- various games like Gothic 2, Farming Simulator, UT2004/UMark: GPU Turbo frequency not working. HD4000 remains on the base frequency and therefore it runs much slower as it should. Some newer games had this issue with the 2696 driver. That's why 2752 is so much faster in Far Cry or Half-Life 2, it's fixed there. But some lesser-known games still suffer from it.

Enabling Vsync in control panel forces farming simulator to run in max frequency 1150 Mhz for whatever reason. It doubles the performance from 30 to 60 fps. Unfortunately this trick doesn't work in Gothic 1/2 or UMark.
edit: increasing the refresh rate from 60 to 75 HZ gives another small boost. 63-64 fps in my testing scene.

9.17.10.2753 still suffers from the low clock Bug in Half-Life 2.

I wonder why it clocks with 1100 Mhz instead max turbo 1150 Mhz on 2761 driver.

Google Earth strong shimmering can be seen in DirectX mode, perfectly demonstrated in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5T9mA6jutA&hd=1 Anisotropic filtering (AF) in Google Earth - Intel HD Graphics 3000 vs. AMD Radeon HD 6630M - 720p - YouTube
I have the same on HD4000 with newest driver 8.15.10.2778. I have tested a little bit and it seems the anisotropic filtering doesn't work at all, no difference between AF High, Medium and Off. For some reason Google Earth can't force this on Intel graphics and as we know AF forced through Intels control panel doesn't work either for directx applications (excluding some AF tester tools).
No shimmering in OpenGL mode with AF forced through Intel control panel in Google Earth. Same shimmering when set to application controlled in control panel and forced in Google Earth. That's why I think Google Earth can't force AF on Intel graphics and this is the cause for the shimmering.

OMG with every new 15.28 driver Half-Life 2 getting slower and slower. Max details 4xMSAA...

I bet the next driver will lower it once again. Crysis runs slower too.

HD4000 causing high DPC Latency in general. Affecting my audio and video playback with any program. I.E occasionally the sound/audio will stutter or freeze for a split second. I installed DPC Latency Checker and disabled the HD4000's driver, my latency subsequently lowered dramatically to normal rates.

I'm having issues with play-back of Microsoft Windows TV (WTV) files with HD H.264 video in them. I'm getting tearing and pixelation pretty constantly. Not what I expect from a brand new top-end CPU/iGPU combo!
This is with the 8.15.10.2761 driver installed.

are you maybe referring to the similar issue posted on AVSForum?
If yes, it's here: /thread/30167 http://communities.intel.com/thread/30167

So I'm monitoring both threads (here and AVS: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1407042/official-ivy-bridge-for-htpcs-thread/150# post_22322588 *Official* Ivy Bridge for HTPCs Thread) and there doesnt seem to be any movement on this problem. Intel - is someone working on fixing the driver so eradicate these palyback issues?

I installed Google Earth 7 and the shimmering issue I mentioned is gone, at least for a HD4000. But should be solved for HD3000 too. Caps Viewer still crashes on HW Geometry Intancing with every 15.28 driver I tried: http://s14.directupload.net/images/121106/pne5togw.png http://s14.directupload.net/images/121106/pne5togw.png
Another one: Outerra immediately crashes. "Outerra Demo has stopped working"
Outerra requires OpenGL 3.3 support, theoretically it should work on a HD2500/HD4000.

Could you please confirm if tearing on Microsoft Windows TV (WTV) files playback with HD H.264 video has been resolved with driver 15.31.9.3165(9.18.10.3165) posted here?

Far Cry 2 and HL2 still very slow, HL2 now with a texture bug (very blurry) and slow. Caps Viewer Geometry Instancing not working too. It seems the bugfixes you refer are not included in 15.28 drivers, they are included in the next driver series 15.31: http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/24340-intel-gma-drivers/page__st__280# entry144816 Intel GMA Drivers - Page 15 - Intel GMA releases - LaptopVideo2Go Forums
With this driver HL2 and Far Cry 2 very fast, Caps Viewer Geometry Viewer working and faster than before, Just Cause 2 hang bug fixed, Final Fantasy texture corruption fixed. GTA4, Skyrim, and PLA Game slower but most other games faster than before from what I have tested.

This is what I meant with blurry.
15.31 2885= http://www.abload.de/img/28854lpby.png http://www.abload.de/img/28854lpby.png
15.28 2897= http://www.abload.de/img/2897abi97.png http://www.abload.de/img/2897abi97.png
The blurriness is a new bug in HL2 with the newest 15.28 driver. And over 40 fps slower than the older 15.31 driver. Same settings (16xAF).
