HD4400 5.1 audio output in windows 8.1

I have notebook with hd4400 connected to tv via hdmi cable and i want to output 5.1 sound to the tv. But in windows audio setting there is only stereo mode.

I have latest intel display audio driver installed, what else i should do?

You will need to connect a 5.1 audio device, such as a home theater or AVR.

My TV is connected to the AVR thru optical cable and i want to use such type of connexion.

Why your driver does not allow me to choose the type of sound output? Is there any workaround?

I would connect the computer to the AVR and the AVR to the TV. This way I believe you will get surround sound from the AVR.
