How much VRAM can a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500DHM have?

I have a laptop with a GMA4500DHM with 128MB of VRAM and up to 1759MB of total video memory but im sure it doesnt use all the 1759MB but how much VRAM can it have can i get 256MB of VRAM or 384MB i have an Insyde BIOS v1.7 and the thing that sucks is that its locked and i cant go in the BIOS but if i remove would i be able to increase the VRAM yes or no and if yes by how much?

I know how much dedicated memory i have now but i want to know by how much i can increase it by thats my question

Depennding on your system manuifacturer, up to just under 2GB with GMA4500 by selecting Max DVMT is BIOS. Remember, graphics memory for GMA chipsets is dynamically allocated as the OS / App need it. If your systems BIOS cannot be accesed, then you are stuck with the stting made by the manufacturer. Also, this paragraph from the page mentioned in my last post is very important.

"Note: The actual amount of maximum graphics memory on your computer can be less than the amounts listed in the above table. The actual amounts greatly depend on your computer model's specific configuration. Configuration factors may include but are not limited to:

• The graphics memory allocation method set by your computer manufacturer
• Amount of system memory available
• Amount of pre-allocated memory
• Operating system.

The best place for obtaining information about your computer's specific configuration is from your computer manufacturer. Your computer manufacturer may have altered features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes that may limit or reduce the actual maximum graphics memory amount possible for your computer.

I have 4 GB RAM so i dont really mined how much my graphic card would use from it but i am asking this question to make sure if i can increase my VRAM or not i am going to remove my BIOS supervisor password but i just want to make sure if i can increase my VRAM like would i be able to have 256mb of VRAM or more or would i just have 128mb as my max VRAM thats all i want to know and would i be able to increase my VRAM in a Insyde 1.7 BIOS.

Well other than changing Video options in the BIOS there is nothing else you can do to increase video memory. With Win 7 all video memory management is handled dynamically by the OS. If an app needs 1 GB of memory, the OS will allocate it if it is available. If your not having problems running an app due to insufficient video memory, just chill and enjoy your PC.

Well my PC does run games pretty well but some of my games still lag a bit and i really want that lag to go away but u still didnt answer my question right how much VRAM can it have the most is its max VRAM is it 256mb or 384mb or 128mb would really love to know.

The lag in your game could be due to a number of issues. CPU, graphics adapter performance, disk speed, etc. As for you video memory, the "base" amount is set in your BIOS, it could be anything depending on how your PC manufacturer set it up, I can't do anything about that. Remember, it really doesn't matter what the base memory allocation is, the OS (Win7) will allocate more as necessary to support the running app or game. If you want to take a look at the amount on Video memory allocated at any time just right click on your desktop and select "Graphics Properties" then click the "Options and Support" tab, then click the "Information Center". There you will find current memory allocation inf. Don't know what else to tell ya.
