Hello Raylan,
Thank you for posting on Intel Community Forum.
It appears that you're having difficulties running Sword of the Sea with the Intel Arc B580. To investigate effectively, kindly share the information below.
1. Was this functioning correctly before?
2. Is the issue isolated to Sword of the Sea?
3. Which game distribution platform are you using (Steam, Epic Games, etc.)?
4. Have you performed any troubleshooting steps already?
5. Does the game crash instantly after launch?
Additionally, to have a better understanding of your system configuration and components please generate System Support Utility (SSU) report. Please follow instructions here and send the report - How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*
I look forward to your response.
Best regards

Hello Jed!
I'm one of the developers of Sword of the Sea and I also can help provide details about the issue.
Our QA team identified that, at some recent point in development, everything was running as expected on Arc GPUs. We're using Unreal Engine 5 for this title, and we package a manually collected PSO cache that gets initialized on initial level load. It would seem that forcing all the PSOs to initialize up-front in the application has brought this crashing issue to the forefront.
We don't have any differences in our shaders based on hardware vendor or GPU, and the shaders and render state provided to the driver are identical for all IHVs. Both NVIDIA and AMD hardware/drivers appear to handle whatever is being sent down without errors.
We don't have any Arc GPUs internally, so debugging this is difficult without some assistance. Ideally, I could provide a key for the game (which is publicly available) and someone in the driver team can identify the issue quickly (simply launch the game, select New Game, and it will crash). If we need to make changes to our shaders or render state, we can easily do that. Or if it ends up being a legitimate driver issue, I'm happy to help diagnose and resolve it.
Let me know the best way to proceed and thank you!
Derek

Hello Raylan,
I have not heard back from you so I will close this inquiry now. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Hi @DerekCornish,
Thank you for getting in touch with us and for providing additional information. If you're one of the developers of the game, please create a separate thread on our Game Developer Forum for us to properly address this concern.
Best regards
