I have a hd screen. I tried to call to intel yesterday to usa from .fi but dude couldnt say anything. Just kept saying that intel doesent sell that mb or prosessor. Kinda funny as says Intel on both. Those phone calls cost me $70. Should that cpu be able to do anything over vga? I tried to google and no answers in past 2 weeks. Speed is no issue to me but sux to look at vga resolution. Or do I need to get a gfx card to get past vga res?

Any advice appriciated. Can I get any help here?

I think there is big misunderstanding.

You are talking about ATI Radeon due graphic has term "HD" ?

I know ATI has HD series like HD3650, but Intel has own HD graphics

in I7-2600 there is Intel® HD Graphics 2000

You can easy find driver for it.

If You have still problem with VGA (640x480) be advised that some motherboards are unable to support I7 with integrated graphic card. Then:

i7 + external PCIexpress GPU

or

i5/i3 + inegrated GPU

I kwno it can hear strange due CPU can have GPU but You can't use it sometimes.

About motherboard vendor - maybe there is Intel , but it can be Intel logo due it use Intel components. Real vendor can be Gigabyte / Asus etc.

If You can't see anything on motherboard , just during turn on watch BIOS .. there should be CPU,RAM and BIOS version contains motherboard real model.

Good luck

Tnx for the reply. Still that intel doesent really answer my question. Checked out the link u gave and they only mention about some 2000, Nonewhere mentioned if can actually do better then vga resolution. Also looks like intel married with wintendo as cant locate any drivers to linux. They only seem to have Wintendo drivers. So maybe I should just throw these intel parts to wastebasket and get amd or something. CPU itself quite nice as boots up in 3-4 secs from ssd disk.GPU dunno how to get working....sux to look at vga on 30" screen. Atleast letters are big enuf.

Also funny as called intel customer service they couldnt even say that if cpu can do better then vga res. If even intel cant reply what them products can do who can? Should I call next amd customer service and ask what intel products can do lol.

OK. Some sites are saying that it could do better then vga. Just cant locate any drivers or is intel only ment for windowns and cant use i cpus with linux? Or more like meaning the integrated gfx. I have 7 year old pci rage 128 which can do 1080p. Maybe I just drop that in. Or would anyone ave any suggestions? Getting tired staring athese vga size lettes on my decently large screen.

Been googling for a week now and outta ideas.

If helps anyone motherboard is: http://intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/dsktpboards/db-dz68db http://intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/dsktpboards/db-dz68db and CPU: http://ark.intel.com/products/52213 http://ark.intel.com/products/52213
