I need to update my graphic driver so as to not have the missing OPENGL problem, but according to Intel my product is discontinued. I am not sure what the risks are to just get the new driver, uninstall the previous one and install it.

Your processor and graphics are not supported on Windows 10. You are using the Microsoft generic driver which lacks performance and features.

You need to upgrade to a newer system.

In some cases, folks have hacked the installer for compatible Windows 8.x drivers in order to support older processor graphics engines, but there was never a Windows 8.x driver for the 1st gen Intel Core processors. You are simply out of luck. If support for a newer version of OpenGL is required, upgrading to a new laptop is your only path.
