Hi,
Getting frustrated - help please. Every time I try to use an LCD TV (using mobo HDMI-out to TV HDMI-in) it results in a BSOD with STOP 0x16—telling me that the igdkmd64 did not recover. Usually before the BSOD I get something like "Display driver igdkmd64.sys stopped responding and has recovered" several times, and them–KABOOM.
The system works fine with a VGA monitor without the HDMI attached.
This is a clean Win 7x64 (Home Premium) install on a minimal system:
ASUS P8H67 B3 (Realtec HD Audio, and Realtec Gbit Network);
i7 2600K with Intel HD3000 on processor graphics
4 Gb RAM (2x 2Gb) DDR3 1333
HD - Crucial C300 128Gb SSD AHCPI.
Supposedly (?) I have the newest HW drivers
The culprit TV's are an older Olevia 42"-1080i, and a newer 26" VIZIO 1080p. Both are HDCP compliant, and both work fine with HDMI from a DVD, A/V Receiver or cable box.
So far I have tried swapping HDMI cables, tried using a DVI-out to HDMI adapter (TVs don't have DVI ports) – same result. Tried removing one memory stick (leaving only 2Gb on a single slot) same problem. Also tried with various BIOS settings -- no help. The same things happens if I booth in Safe Mode with networking, but not in Safe Mode. So, I disabled the network drivers and devices, and rebooted normally --but didn't help, same BSOD.
Have been searching the web and forums, but nothing seems to be helping.
Any suggestions are much appreciated!

My configuration:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H-B3 (with the latest BIOS version F4)
CPU: Intel Corei7 2600
Memory: 2x 4 GB: KINGSTON 8192MB HyperX DDR3 1600MHz CL9 KIT KHX1600C9D3K2/8G
Video card: only the integrated feature (gave the max memory for it in the BIOS (512 Mb))
HDD: Vertex 2 SSD 64Gb
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 x64 (English) (with actual security patches)
Display: LG 42LH9000 LED TV (with the latest firmware) (attached the cable to the HDMI port)
nothing else...
I can experience the issue when plug in the DVI or HDMI only in the motherboard and boot up the system. BSOD comes immediately when system gets through the BIOS and the Windows boot screen (BIOS configuration or windows boot logo appear correctly, because they are not depending on the Intel driver). With the newest driver (which can be downloaded from Intel website) system gets through the windows boot, but get only black blank screen and after 20-25 sec get a BSOD so I'm not able to use the display with the HDMI or DVI port. There's no problem with the DSUB when use the same TV as display.
With this old driver it is working, no BSOD:

Please fix this ASAP dear Intel Guys! Thanks in advance! (I can't believe you are not able to replicate this problem, it occours almost all of the H64 chipset config, I think not depending on the memory configuration)

Hi Phaser
For a data point,, could you remove one of your memory modules and boot with only 2GB of memory and see if the issue occurs? Thanks in advance.

Copy and paste first posting: "Tried removing one memory stick (leaving only 2Gb on a single slot) same problem."
But he can try as well to confirm it or not.

Robert_U,
Same problem and BSOD with single 2GB Crossiar RAM with latest HD display driver. Roll back 2219 and the problem goes away.
Just like others, we really don't think is RAM related. I presonally think it's causing either from non Intel MB and/or EDID, refresh rate here.
You have a troop here to support you to fix this one. Please let us know what we can help in order for you to fix this problem.
Thank you

I have a brand new ASUS CG8350 with P8H67M-PRO motherboard, i7-2600. Connected with HDMI to a Sharp Aquos 46" LCD.
I tried to upgrade to the two drivers newer than the 2219 that were installed, both caused the BSOD igdkmd64.

Like jcasares, I was using 2219 because I had instant crash at boot with 8.15.10.2342.
Tonight, I tried the new driver 15.22.1.64.2361. I can now boot without a problem (no bsod). I can also resume the computer from standby, but each time, I receive a message from Windows that the graphical driver igfx was not responding (id 4101 in eventlog). I have the same error when Windows close the screen (after idle time). Excluding this, it seems to work (aero and 1080p60).
I'm not sure if this driver can correct some audio problem. But now, my problem with the Intel integrated audio (hdmi) is somewhat smaller.
With 2219, I was able to play only one sound/music before the volume decreases of 20-25db. I can restore the volume if I close/open my amp, but each time I stop/play another music, the problem reappears. With 2361, I can play about 4-7 sounds/musics before the volume decreases.I tried with another PC with hdmi output (nvidia) and I don't have this problem (with my amp). I don't want to deviate this topic on my sound problem. I just want to mention the differences I observe. SpecsCPU : 2500kMB : P8H67-M EVoMEM : 2x4GB G.SkillOS : Windows 7 64bits AMP : Denon AVR-1610TV : Toshiba 46SV670U PC ---hdmi---> AMP ---hdmi---> TVSimon

As Simon now I'm facing sporadic hangs of the driver even while the TV is shut down.
It seems it was hasty to tell victory.

I just assembled a system yesterday, and i get flickering/black screen right after it reaches the desktop.
I have tried pretty much all the drivers from ver. 2361 all the way back to 2219 and they all crash.
Windows standard generic vga driver does not crash.

I am having the same issue. brand new build with ASUS P8H67-M EVO and Core i3 2100t. All versions of the driver other than what shipped with the motherboard cause BSOD if HDMI is connected. Using a Sony KDS60a3000 TV. 2x4 GB Gskill memory.
Removing one memory stick has had no effect.

8.15.10.2372 (15.22.2)
I installed this driver successfully, no problems so far. But I don't have this bluescreen bug, so I can't test it out.

2372 Didn't work for me either. Instant flicker when it reaches the desktop.
Not a single Win7 driver has worked for me. They all crash.
I'm sick of this crap.
Monday I'll get a small Nvidia GT 430 card from for my HTPC - at least they know how to make stuff work.
I also tried booting the system on XBMC Live which worked fine, so maybe I'll just stick with that.

Update: I just received an ASUS P8H67-M EVO and will set it up for replication.
For those who are having the issues with the latest drivers and the version 2291 is working for you,, just relax and continue to use the 2291 until this issue gets root caused and resolved. Unless there is a compelling need for you to update from 2291, don't install other versions if they just create frustration for you. We are working on this.
