An update that has happened in the last couple of months or so by Win10 has caused my Solidworks 2018 program to stop functioning. Specifically the program opens and even loads a model yet once I try to start a sketch the program crashes. I have researched this and other people are also reporting problems in the last updates with similar on board graphics such as HD 520 in laptops with various 3d software packages. Some have pointed out that it has something to do with OpenGL. I have updated the graphics driver to latest:
- Date: 26-Apr-2018
- Version: 24.20.100.6025 (Latest)
- OS: Windows 10, 64-bit*
I am using the onchip graphics capability which is HD 530 so in other words I do not have a graphics card.
Attached is the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows output.

I installed an older graphics driver
- Date: 28-Dec-2017
- Version: 15.60.2.4901
And this one works.
I also then had to go through the process of not allowing Win10 to auto update the graphics driver.
In the Solidworks forums there are many who have the same issues and are using the HD graphics series and they seem to be the build in type used in laptops. The only solutions are to use an older graphics driver. There seems to be no effort to solve this.
I have not tried the new Win10 update you provided as I do not want to risk it. I have updated through Win update to the most recent and is on auto. However I did notice although my system says its up to date the version is not what you provided.
It would be nice if the people that made the changes to the graphics driver were to know this issue and see what changes they made were the cause.

I do not need further help because you guys suck balls.
The correct answer is use a old driver and never update your system.
Then buy a different chip.
Also what really helps is to hold your hands up to your screen and extend your middle fingers up and say fuck you intel your programmers suck.
