I'm using an Acer Swift 1 laptop (cpu Intel Pentium Silver N6000) with Windows 11 22H2 and latest updates.
Starting any Linux X11 app via WSLg is not possible. The system reports the Intel GPU driver with "Illegal instruction at address 0x7f26b2a00c5c" message to the log.
The issue happens with driver 30.0.101.1994 as well as with latest version 31.0.101.3729/31.0.101.2114 from 10/20/2022.
Reported more details to Microsoft too, please take a look at the Github #877 thread.
Attached is the output from Intel system support utility.

Hi Jean,
Thank you so much for letting me know such a piece of wonderful news on Thanksgiving day that my new intel 11 NUC, which is released in Q1'22, has already become a legacy device with limited support since Q3'22.
I'm so grateful for your professional instructions to push us back to the Linux community to ask for help with a Windows issue.
I will definitely recommend Intel products to my friends because Intel never lets us down.
Happy Thanksgiving,
Maosheng

Hello TwoPlan.
I appreciate your comment.
Since the Debug team is still working on the New release, it may take a while to be available. I would like to confirm whether or not you agree to close this thread.

Thanks Jean,
I would be in favor of leaving the thread open until we have a result. This thread is connected to the related Microsoft WSLg github issue #877. Future searches for this problem would be simplified.
If I can assist in any way, such as testing beta versions on my system, please let me know.

Hello Intel.
I would like to report this same issue seen on a Lenovo IdeaPad 1i (14" Intel), part number 82LV003YUS, with an Intel Celeron N5100 Processor (another Jasper Lake variant).
This machine shipped with graphics driver 31.0.101.1999 (7/5/2022).
Please note DSA offers version 31.0.101.2115 (11/16/2022), however when this version is installed, the screen never wakes up after the laptop resumes from sleep, making that version unusable on this laptop.
As an aside, I must mention I was exceptionally disappointed to find out that while Lenovo manufactured this laptop on 1/15/2023 (less than three weeks ago), Intel moved its graphics drivers to legacy support on 7/27/2022. I understand times are tough at Intel now, but I do not understand how "legacy" is appropriate for this product's support.
Please keep us updated on when we can expect Intel to support Windows 10/11's WSLg (the best new Windows feature in years) on Jasper Lake machines.
Thank you!

Hello @Jean_Intel. I am having the exact same issue as this thread: due to a bug in the Intel graphics driver, Jasper Lake chips cannot run Microsoft’s WSLg. As linked in this thread, there is a GitHub issue filed with Microsoft for this issue, but since the problem is in the driver, Intel needs to fix it.
Please let us all know when Intel will make the release that fixes this fatal bug. I do not see any suggestions in this thread for working around the issue. (If you are referring to the issue of waking from sleep, seen in the most recent driver offered by DSA, which Maosheng also mentioned, and there is a workaround, please point us at the solution.)
I cannot speak for TwoPlan, but I believe this thread should be kept open until the Jasper Lake WSLg problem is resolved.
Thank you!

While I am very disappointed in the amount of time to took to receive a fix for this issue, I can report driver version 31.0.101.2121 available at https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/762755/intel-6th-10th-gen-processor-graphics-windows.html fixes the WSLg and wake from sleep issues for my Lenovo Ideapad 1i with a Jasper Lake Intel Celeron Processor N5100.
Thank you, Intel!

Thanks @rap7mb5h for the tip!
I can also confirm that the new graphics driver 31.0.101.2121 fixes both reported issues on my Acer Swift 1 SF114 laptop.
Kudos to everyone who contributed to this thread, thanks to Jean O and the Intel support team.
The thread can be closed and marked as solved IMO.
Happy Easter!
