Installed latest graphics drivers for laptop, maximum Hz gone from 100 to 60

I have recently installed the latest graphics drivers onto my lap top with intel iris xe(r) graphics. My maximum external monitor refresh rate used to be 100 and now its gone down to 60. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers multiple times and this does not work. I have also rolled back the drivers and this causes the laptop to stop connecting to the monitor.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

Please state the make and model of the laptop and external monitor.
