Intel Arc crashes in Detroit Beome Human

Hi,

 

I encountered a crash in Detroit Become Human in the Chapter Russian Roulette. With driver 5081, the crash happens as soon as Connor open the tap towards Hank. With driver 5084, the crash happens immediately entering the chapter. 

 

The intel Arc is the limited edition, the graphics setting is everything on high and depth field on low. I have tried DDU the driver and install again the 5084 driver and it is still crashing.

I understand this seems to be a one-time crash only, should we consider this issue resolved and close this thread?

Please retest with driver 31.0.101.5085 and let us know if the same still happens. If the issue continues and if possible, please share a save file from the game so it can be tested on the scenario you are reporting.

Hi Hugo,

 

I think on the second and third trial, the game won't crash on that scene. But it did crash on my first trial and it was crashing just entering the chapter.

Just to confirm, was this a one-time crash only and is the problem no longer happening or does it happen the first time the chapter is loaded after a driver update?

I think it is a one-time crash after the driver installation. The original problem is fixed by the new driver.

Unfortunately, it seems like the problem isn't really solved.

I'm using Intel Arc A770 8Gb by ASRock with 5085 driver, and I'm having a lot of troubles with Detroit Become Human:

1) Several random crashes in first chapters

2) One persistent crash at the beginning of the chapter when Marcus finds himself in a junkyard and tries to lift his head up. Unlike other crashes, this one repeats no matter what I do (tried different in-game settings, changed resolution, etc.)

3) FPS drops and poor overall performance, worse than Radeon RX580 I had before

 

I really hope this issues to be fixed in the next drivers, because the game is really awesome.

 

PC specs: MSI X470 Gaming Plus Max, Ryzen 5900X, 64 GB RAM, ReBAR on, Windows 11, .

This thread covered a crash that specifically happened on the Russian Roulette chapter of Detroit Become Human and seemed to be a one-time isolated crash. If you are experiencing any other type of crash and is a reproducible issue feel free to open a new thread and share as many details as possible and we will be glad to help.

 

As for the performance issue on this game, this is a problem that we have received other reports well, at the moment we are investigating the issue to fix it in a future driver update, however, please note at the moment there is no estimated time for the issue to be resolved.
