Intel Arc on Detroit Become Human

Hi developer teams,

After some driver updates, we can finally get into Detroit become human in windowed mode but with the bad performance. However, when I entered the chapter "From the dead", the game will crash(no matter what the graphical setting was) indefinitely. I am wondering have you noticed that as well?

My PC config is

CPU: i7-9700

RAM: 2*16GB G.SKILL 3600 DDR4

MB: Gigabyte Z390 Designare

GPU: Intel Arc A770 16GB Limited Edition (ReBar on)

SSD: 1TB & 2TB Samsung 980 Pro(game is on the 2T one)

Driver version: 31.0.101.4887 (WHQL)

Thanks,

Bill Ge

Hello Bill_da_da,

Thank you for your response, and for all the information provided and clarification.

Today we released a new graphics driver, as you did before, perform a clean installation of the graphics driver with DDU. If you still need guidance, on How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver. Then, install the latest driver version 31.0.101.4953.

Keep me informed of the results.

Hello Bill_da_da,

Thank you for posting on the Intel®️ communities. I understand that Detroit Become Human crashes when entering the chapter "From the dead" with your Intel® Arc™ A770 Graphics, I will be more than glad to help you.

Also, I want to thank you for all the information provided, I noticed on the Intel® SSU that your system is not up to date, please follow the steps below and let me know the results:

  • I am aware that no matter what the graphical setting to use, the game crashes, but in case we need to replicate the issue, take screenshots of the game settings, to do it as accurately as possible.
  • Provide your game-saved files, this is to replicate the issue as soon as possible since this chapter is one of the last chapters of the game.
  • When the game crashes, are there error messages? If so, take screenshots of the error.
  • Clean install the graphics driver using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). For guidance, How to Use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to Uninstall an Intel® Graphics Driver. Then, install the latest driver version 31.0.101.4952.
  • If the issue persists, since we recommend having the system up to date. Update Windows to version 22H3. For installation steps, contact Microsoft.

Hi Andres,

The in-game setting is provided as json file(you will need to manually edit the txt file back to .json and put it in the game's diredctory under the game's directory and the save file is not applicable(I think the files in the directory are encrypted) but the chapter is one of the beginning chapters of the game and the game supports chapter select function.

After I updated the driver and OS, the problem persists and the updated SSU is attatched.

When the game crashes, no crash report is visible.

Thanks,

Bill Ge

Hi Andres,

I think after the driver update, the problem is fixed. However, the performance is still poor but I will open a new thread on that.

Thanks,

Bill Ge
