Intel Core Ultra 7 155H Resident Evil Requiem Optimization Problem

I am experiencing unusually low FPS, severe stuttering, and occasional crashes in Resident Evil Requiem when running on an Intel Ultra 7 155H using the integrated GPU. Clean installed driver version 32.0.101.8531, which was supposed to address performance issues, but the game remains largely unstable around 10-15fps.

Performance drops significantly whenever a light source appears on screen. Turning on the flashlight or activating a lamp causes the game to become extremely choppy and nearly unplayable. Game already struggles with huge stutters and low FPS even when switching rooms, picking an item or during cutscenes, but the impact lighting have on the FPS is undeniable.

Changing graphics settings and resolution does not appear to affect performance. Tried all quality options of both FSR3 and FSR3.1.5,. bunch of other graphic/display configs but whether the settings are low or high, the FPS and stutter behavior remain roughly the same. For default up to 17.9 GB of shared ram is usable by the IGPU which in game maximum 8GB of it is utilized.

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 155H
GPU: Integrated Intel Arc Graphics
Driver: 32.0.101.8531
OS: [Windows 11 25H2]
RAM: 32GB 7467 MT/s LPDDR5X
Power Profile: High Performance

Hello cpuOwner,

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum.

To help us better understand the low FPS, stuttering, and crashes you're experiencing in Resident Evil Requiem, kindly provide the following details:

  1. What is the exact brand and model of your system (laptop/mini‑PC), including the BIOS/UEFI version?
  2. Which game platform and build version are you using (Steam/Epic, latest patch installed)?
  3. Does the performance issue still occur when running the game in Fullscreen Exclusive mode with V‑Sync disabled?
  4. Is ray tracing, global illumination, or any advanced lighting features enabled in the game settings?
  5. Have you checked if the issue persists after clearing the shader cache and verifying the game files?

Please also provide the following reports:

1. Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) Report

How to generate:

  1. Download Intel SSU:
  2. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18377/intel-system-support-utility-for-windows.html
  3. Open the tool and click Scan.
  4. Once the scan completes, click NextSave.
  5. Upload the generated .txt file in your reply.

2. CapFrameX Capture (30–60 seconds)

How to record:

  1. Download CapFrameX:
  2. https://www.capframex.com/download
  3. Open CapFrameX and start a capture session.
  4. Launch the game and reproduce the FPS/stutter issue—preferably in scenes involving light sources such as flashlights or lamps.
  5. Stop the capture and save the file.
  6. Attach the capture file or a screenshot of the frame time graph in your response.

If you have any further information to share, please don’t hesitate.

Once I have this information, I will proceed with further investigation for this concern.

Best regards,

The game is from Steam and up to date, with verified game files and a cleared shader cache. Running it on Borderless Window (there is only the window/borderless window option), and V-Sync is off. No ray tracing, global illumination, or any advanced lighting features are enabled; every graphics setting is set to the lowest possible settings and shown in the video. Couldn't take CapFrameX captures, but

I've gathered in-game video captures with visible CapFrameX performance overlay and time stamps:

 Hello cpuOwner,

Based on our assessment and information you provide, the game is outside the system requirements set by the developer. It would be best to consult with the game developer if they will be adding support for the reported iGPU.

We will proceed to close it. Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel. Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,
