Good evening,
I have run into an issue with this Graphic card, which I bought in December 2024. Upon a recommendation of a friends to help me improve the performance of my PC, suggested this card upon reading up on this, as it was supposedly good bang for it's buck!!
So while I am playing on my PC, I have no issues, but when playing games. But it comes in when I am streaming, as I am loosing frames from encoding issues.
I stopped trying to watch my stream at the same time I was playing as it kept on lagging, which I thought for the ARC Sparkle B580 12GB graphics card, which I upgraded form my Radeon RX580 4GB RAM, was strange, as my old graphics card had no issues with it at all.
Now, I got the graphics card, installed all the drivers, and then one day in Feb it OBS spat out I needed to upgrade my graphics drivers, to which I could not find any updates, at that time. So I tried to fiddle with OBS and went as far as uninstalling OBS and reinstalling it, and had to tweak it by uninstalling things and setting up a new profile before it would even allow me to stream. Now last week I was playing Path of Exile 2, and noticed that on my iPad, that the game started to lag heavily to the point the stream itself froze for a little bit then it would unfreeze, stutter then catch up and then run.
So when I looked at the live stats they were horrible:
So I fiddled for hours, and I mean hours and did not get much further. So I called a friend and we did this with OBS (and I have tried to run off of both software and hardware and it still struggles to handle the performance) and with those tweaks, I get the following:
and with those tweaks, I get the following.
As you can see, this is a coding issue (oddly enough, there just to happens to be an update, which I will attempt to try, but hold very little faith that it will work) my friend has even suggested taking out the new card an put my old one in to see if it works, and if it does, I may be compelled to ask for a full refund on this product. I would have thought this newer graphic card would have had my old one, which is pretty much 5 years old beat....
Does anyone have any suggestions to aid with this coding issue that I am having?
Kind regards
13th_Hour.

Hi 13th_Hour,
Thank you for posting in the Community.
To better assist you, could you please provide the following information?
- OBS Version and Settings: Could you provide the version of OBS you are using and more information about the specific settings for both software and hardware encoding? This can help us pinpoint any configuration issues.
- Driver Version: Please confirm the current driver version installed for your ARC Sparkle B580 graphics card. If you are not using the latest version, I recommend updating to the newest driver, version 32.0.101.6651, available here.
- Driver Installation Method: Have you tried performing a clean driver installation using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)? This can sometimes resolve driver-related issues. You can find detailed steps on how to perform a clean installation here.
Additionally, I recommend downloading and running the Intel System Support Utility (SSU) from here. Generate a report and attach it to your response. This will give us detailed information about your system configuration, including your CPU, RAM, motherboard, and PSU, and help us diagnose the issue more effectively. If you prefer not to provide the SSU report, could you share these specifications manually?
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Hi JoeShmoe,
I appreciate you for sharing similar concern with this however, I suggest creating a new thread to avoid further confusions.

And this is what I was trying to reply with, but this forum and I are not gelling:
Good morning,
Thank you ever so much for responding. I do apologise for the tardiness of my response.
On Friday 22nd of March, I tried following different YouTube videos about settings, I did try changing the Video settings to Output (scaled) resolution down to 1280 x 720, but I have put it back to 1920 x 1080. I have also changed the Video Encoder from Hardware (QSV, H.264) to Software (x264) and not touching anything else in the Simple Output Mode.
No matter how I tried this, it ended up the same as when I use to play either Space Marine 2, Path of Exile 2 and Remnant 2, had OBS Studios up and recording with my Twitch up, the stream kept on lagging and/or freezing, so I stopped having the stream up. I use to put it on an iPad, and not keep an eye on this... So I do not know how long this has been going on since December.
So I called a friend who works on PC, and we uninstalled OBS, as well as StreamElements, as well as running the DDU program, and did a fresh install of all the drivers and OBS Studio program, and that has not changed the outcome of the problem.
I have run the report, and there is a lot of information on it. I am not sure exactly what you need form it, so I can either email it across, or share it privately, as it might swallow up a lot of this page, but the basics are:
