Intel Graphic B580 unable to stream with

Good evening,

I have run into an issue with this Graphic card, which I bought in December 2024. Upon a recommendation of a friends to help me improve the performance of my PC, suggested this card upon reading up on this, as it was supposedly good bang for it's buck!!

So while I am playing on my PC, I have no issues, but when playing games. But it comes in when I am streaming, as I am loosing frames from encoding issues.

I stopped trying to watch my stream at the same time I was playing as it kept on lagging, which I thought for the ARC Sparkle B580 12GB graphics card, which I upgraded form my Radeon RX580 4GB RAM, was strange, as my old graphics card had no issues with it at all.

Now, I got the graphics card, installed all the drivers, and then one day in Feb it OBS spat out I needed to upgrade my graphics drivers, to which I could not find any updates, at that time. So I tried to fiddle with OBS and went as far as uninstalling OBS and reinstalling it, and had to tweak it by uninstalling things and setting up a new profile before it would even allow me to stream. Now last week I was playing Path of Exile 2, and noticed that on my iPad, that the game started to lag heavily to the point the stream itself froze for a little bit then it would unfreeze, stutter then catch up and then run.

So when I looked at the live stats they were horrible:

So I fiddled for hours, and I mean hours and did not get much further. So I called a friend and we did this with OBS (and I have tried to run off of both software and hardware and it still struggles to handle the performance) and with those tweaks, I get the following:

and with those tweaks, I get the following.

As you can see, this is a coding issue (oddly enough, there just to happens to be an update, which I will attempt to try, but hold very little faith that it will work) my friend has even suggested taking out the new card an put my old one in to see if it works, and if it does, I may be compelled to ask for a full refund on this product. I would have thought this newer graphic card would have had my old one, which is pretty much 5 years old beat....

Does anyone have any suggestions to aid with this coding issue that I am having?

Kind regards

13th_Hour.

Good afternoon,

I have installed the new driver, before I saw this, and the program I downloaded from your website did exactly that, a full uninstall and reinstall. But I did it again anyways, just as a precaution as I don’t seem to have luck with this card at the moment.

Well there is definitely an improvement, I cannot lie there, but it is still freezing when I get to a lot of action with Path of Exil 2, it still does the freezing thing, but other games so far under a quick test (ones that do not have a ton of things happening at once) run fun….

Now I have included the link to my stream to show you what I mean… If you start watching from the 24min mark till around the 27 min mark when I started closing the game down, you will see what I mean. I did turn off the upscaling for the game, which in my minds eye, the graphics card, which was made at the end of 2024, which carries 12gb Ram should be able to upload this game with out any issues vs my old graphic card: MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOUR 8GB – which has 0 issues running this game while streaming.

Cyberpunk does not have any issues, I will be streaming Remnant 2 on Tuesday from around 20:00 UK time, which I will be keeping an eye on.

Hi @13th_Hour ,

I'll handle your concern from here. The latest driver update, version 32.0.101.6732, has helped somewhat with the issue, but it's not fully resolved. I'll review your situation further and get back to you with more information and recommendations regarding this case. For Remnant 2 issues. it's advisable to create a separate ticket for that so we can address it specifically and avoid mixing steps from this thread. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi @13th_Hour ,

Based on your SSU report, it appears that your motherboard currently has an outdated BIOS version, 3607. The latest version available is 3621, released on April 1, 2025. I recommend updating to this version, as it can improve performance. Additionally, I believe this motherboard supports Resizable BAR, which can enhance gaming performance. However, I couldn't find any mention of this feature in the manual and documentation for your board. Please contact ASUS to confirm whether this feature is supported.

Lastly, if the issue persists, please try our new graphics driver version 32.0.101.6734 (WHQL Certified). As before, perform a clean installation using DDU before applying this newer version.

I've included a guide on how to enable Resizable BAR, which you can find in the article "Steps to Enable Resizable BAR." After updating your BIOS and configuring the settings, please report back to me with any changes in gameplay. I look forward to your response.

Hi Randy,

Thank you for checking in with my query, I appreciate you following up.

Oddly enough, I have just literally finished testing it, and I have not had any joy with it, it is still giving the same issues as before, with the lag causing stream to freeze midway through while live on twitch.

Now my friend and I have updated all drivers for the motherboard, flashed the bios (which nearly gave me a heart attack as the PC almost did not work ) but so far I have done everything I have been told. New drivers, new bios, new OBS and yet no joy.

I have also just put in my old MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOUR 8GB, and the streaming works better when I am using this card, but granted with software program, and it did not glitch.

I am at a loss; I have no idea what to do. I know I am not a big streamer, but this may have had an impact on my streams which does not help. I have spoken to the retailers from whom I bought the card from, and they said they are willing to take it back for tests, as I am outside of the return window.

I am concerned that when if I send the card back, they will not find the errors I have found, and there are a few other that have come to light while I have been testing this out, but as you said, that is for another ticket. It happens mostly in one game where this comes to light, and I cannot see them clocking in hours to test it, so I am at an impasse on what to do.

I have managed to screen shot some of the stats I got while streaming, I have no idea if this help's, and I honestly don’t think you will check out the streams that can show you where I am having issues.

Hi @13th_Hour,

I watched and observed your previous stream regarding the freezing issue at the 24 to 27-minute mark. I understand your hesitation to return the unit for testing, especially since you've already updated everything that needed updating. I just wanted to confirm if you had a chance to check my last recommendation regarding resizable BAR and applied it to your system? Before I coordinate your concern internally, I want to make sure I've provided all possible tweaks to enhance game performance.

Hi Randy,

I appreciate you watching the vod, as it shows what is happening. In regards to the resize bar, yes it was enabled. It was something that was made sure was on when I got the new motherboard.

It was something that I made sure the motherboard had. I really wish it was something I had forgotten.

So, where do we go from here??

Kind regards

Hi @13th_Hour,

Thank you for confirming. Could you please provide the updated SSU log report via email? You can send it through the last email from Dean. I will now bring this matter internally so we can replicate it on our end using the system configuration and game settings you provided.

I will post an update here once I complete our investigation. If you have any updated game settings, feel free to post them here so I can include them as well. While I can't provide a specific ETA for when I'll get back to you, please rest assured that I am working on this case. I appreciate your patience and understanding.
