Intel Graphics DCH Treiber

Guten Tag

ich habe diverse Probleme mit der Grafikkarte meines Surface Pro 5.Gen.: Sporadisches ausschalten und wieder anschalten, beim Neustart wird immer eine Auflösung von 1024 x 768 eingestellt obwohl eine Auflösung von 3440 x 1440 @ 60Hz eingestellt war. Diese Auflösung lässt sich auch nur mit dem Intel-Kontrollraum einstellen. Nun wird mir seitens Intel die Installation eines Grafiktreibers DCH für die Grafikkarte Iris Plus Graphics 640 vorgeschlagen. Der Treiber in meinem Gerät ist vom 25.12.2018. Eine Supportmitarbeiterin von Microsoft sagte mir, dass der Intel-Treiber wohl nicht genutzt werden sollte und ich solle doch auf ein MS-Update warten (keine Terminangabe).

Der Versuch, den neuen Treiber zu installieren, wurde abgelehnt mit dem Hinweis, der Treiber sei nicht validiert.

Hat schon jemand die Installation gewagt? Wie wurde gegebenenfalls die Installation vorgenommen? Wie war der Erfolg?

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

Regarding what the Microsoft representative said is correct, it's worth mentioning that your system should use the drivers provided by the system manufacturer (Microsoft) This is because the driver has customizations for your system when you tried to install an Intel generic driver the error '' driver was not validated'' it's because it does not have the customizations for your system and it tries to let you know that. My recommendation will be to stick to Microsoft's representative suggestion to avoid losing customizations on your system performed by Microsoft on their system.

If you want to try the installation of the generic driver you can follow the steps of Intel® HD Graphics Installation Error: This Installation Package is Not Supported by this Processor Type, be aware that some customizations performed by the Microsoft can be lost, you can use it for testing porpuses and if your system works fine then you can contact MS* and request a new driver release.

Hallo Adrian,

erst einmal recht herzlichen Dank für die Nachfrage. Bin ich bei MS nicht gewohnt. Ich hatte mit dem Support von MS sowohl telefoniert als auch in der Community nachgefragt. In der Community werden die Probleme gar nicht mehr ernst genommen und auch nicht beantwortet und der Support reagierte nach ca. 10 Minuten Wartezeit auf eine Antwort und € 1 Kosten lapidar mit der Antwort, ich solle auf ein Update von MS warten, dessen Erscheinen aber nicht vorhersehbar sei.

Ich bin unsicher, ob ich den generischen Treiber testen solle.

1. ich gehe davon aus, das die Installation mit der von Ihnen geschilderten Probierroutine gelingen wird
2. bei der Intel-Installation wird nur der Intel Grafik-Treiber installiert?
3. ist es möglich, bei Problemen den Treiber wieder auf den von MS zurückzusetzen, ohne dass die MS-Anpassungen verloren gehen?

Ich würde mich auf eine Antwort Ihrerseits freuen.

Regarding your questions:

1. Yes, it should work.
2. That is correct, only the Intel drivers will be installed on your system then you will have to download Intel® Graphics Command Center from MS* store which has more features compared to the previous offering (Old Intel graphics control panel).
3. Yes, it is possible to roll back to the OEM driver however make sure that the driver provided by the system manufacturer is a DCH driver (It should be since it was part of Microsoft requirements) this is because rolling back to a legacy driver it's a complex process that can result in system instability. We don't recommend it. So if the drivers provided by MS* are DCH there should not be any problem when you roll back to the OEM driver.

Hallo Adrian,

ich habe den Versuch der Installation auf nach dem Win10 -Update 2004 verschoben. Ich hoffe, dass dann ein neuer Treiber mitgeliefert wird. Falls Sie allerdings mehr Informationen (kein Treiber seitens MS verfügbar) würde ich mich über eine Mitteilung freuen.
