Intel Graphics HD 4400 crashes Windows 10 1803

Hi Everyone,

We have several systems with the intel Graphics HD4400 VGA. After the 1803 spring update for Windows 10 all systems get an BSOD (page fault in non paged area) and won't start. After rebooting in safe mode and changer the VGA driver to Microsoft basic display driver, the systems boot fine again in normal mode. When is there an updated driver available to fix this issue?

Kind regards,

Maurice Kouws

Hello, mauricekouws. Thank you very much for contacting the Intel Communities Team. I will be more than happy to assist you.

There is a new driver version for your controller (4963). Please download this version by clicking here and follow the instructions of this YouTube* video to complete the installation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1KzoQDjMMY&t=87s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1KzoQDjMMY&t=87s

Please be aware that the driver I am sharing with you is a generic driver from Intel® and some features of it might not be available for your machine, we always recommend verifying if there is any update with the manufacturer of the computer. Nevertheless, we can try to perform this troubleshooting step.

Furthermore, If those computers are having the same mode, what is the model of them?

Hi Antony,

Thanx for your answer. I already installed the 4963 before I posted the question but this didn't solve the problem. The computers are custom built and run on an Asus H81M-Plus 1150 Motherboard. So i think there is an incompatibility with the current driver and Microsofts 1803 update... Any other suggestions?

Thanx in advance!

Kind regards,

Maurice

Can confirm. My Laptop with Embedded Intel HD Graphics Chip started to crash with bluescreen either during or a few seconds after logging in with the user.

Uninstalling the graphics driver fixed that problem for now. But of course simply not having a graphics card isn't a valid option moving forward.

Thank you for your reply, mauricekouws.

Can you please confirm which is the error code you are receiving on the BSOD? Additionally, can you please try the drivers provided by your motherboard manufacturer? Please find the download link below:
