Hi, I recently built a new computer, and just wanted to get it up and running, but have not been able to quite yet.
Any time I watch videos online, youtube, espn, etc, the display flickers and I get the message, the display driver has crashed and has recovered.
I have scoured the web trying to find a solution but everything I have tried has been unsuccessful.
Specs:
ASUS: P8Z77-V LK
Intel: i5-3570k
Corsair Dominator Ram @ 1600 8 GBs
Intel HD 4000 Graphics
My bios is updated to the most current version, which is about a week old. version 1104
I have tried both the generic intel version of the graphics driver (version 3165) and ASUS's latest (version 2828)
I settled on version 2828.
I'm not overclocking at all, everything in the bios is default.
Would love some help with this please.
Here is my dxdiag report:

Were you having this issue since you assembled the system or this just started recently? Do you know of any changes that happened after that?
What software/application are you using to watch the videos you mentioned?

It has been since I assembled the system.
I recently disabled desktop window manager as whenever the display would crash that would also crash, however that did not fix the problem.
The display drivers have crashed during numerous applications: browsing the web with Chrome, viewing an Adobe PDF document, watching a flash video in Chrome, pretty much anything that takes a considerable amount of viewing power causes it to crash.

Could you please test using the driver posted on the following URL?

It didn't help it.
It still flickers the display.
Also, the first time I tried to install the driver I got a BSOD, but I tried to install it again and it worked just fine. Don't know if that was an issue with the driver/computer compatibility or just something random.

Could you please confirm if the issue is just a screen flicker or the issue is that the video driver crashes and you get the "display driver stopped and recovered" message?

Quite sorry for my ambiguity.
The display driver is indeed crashing.
The screen goes black, then turns back on and the message box "display driver has stopped and has recovered" displays in the bottom right of the screen.
I said flickering because it happens frequently, back to back black screens in a row if I am doing anything that I mentioned previously.

Are you using any adapters, converter, any audio/video receiver (AVR), a KVM switch or anything similar between the display and system?
Please try to uninstall all graphics drivers (and related files) from his system. Or test a separate hard drive or partition and do a fresh operating system installation.
If issue still persists, and Blue Screens of Death (BSOD) keep occurring, the issue might be hardware related. Try checking the CPU,Mobo and memory at least. Make sure that there is no overclocking being done in the system and everything is running under the specifications

I'm not using any adapters or anything of the sort.
The monitor is plugged directly into the motherboard.
I uninstalled all graphics adapters and reinstalled the newest driver available and the display driver is still crashing.
I don't have another Hard Drive partition to test on, and I'd rather not do a fresh install of the OS unless it's necessary.
There isn't any overclocking at all.
I'm going to look at all of the stock speeds and make sure that the bios matches what they should be.
I'll also going to try and use only 1 of the memory sticks at a time to see if it might be one of those.
I'll give an update when I've tried everything.
However, if the problem still persists do you think the hardware issue lies in the processor or the motherboard or both?

If the issue persists at that point the issue might be related to either memory (either memory hardware issues or compatibility problems with the motherboard/processor) or, power supply, motherboard or processor issues.

Hey I built 3 systems identical to yours, two I built in december 2012 and one last week.
p8z77-v lk with 3570k and do not have these video issues. In fact they have been extremely stable.
I used Windows 8 64 pro as well I am using 8GB Kingston RAM that's the only difference... Power supplies are corsair and Ultra.
These have been rock solid, all I can suggest is getting a cheap video for $40 card and testing to see if all your video issues are resolved.

Here's an idea, try install ubuntu, it boots off CD and you can test your video.. You may have to download chrome for it, it has flash built in.
