Hi,
First of all... My Hardware isn't much for gaming. I have an Asus zenbook ux305fa with 8gb of RAM and an Intel HD 5300 graphics Adapter.
I can Play Resident evil 7 very good in 800x600 without any Problems.
About 2 hours in thr game i arrive at a Scene in the basement (have to search for 3 Dog Heads) and in the basement the game Freezes and crashes. Gives me error Message "hresult = 887a0005 deviceremoved".
I Use Windows 10 pro 64bit. Theres only one graphics Driver for the 5300 from october of 2016. You Guys know something?

Thank you so much for the files! I'll try to reproduce with these and get back to you as soon as I can.
In the mean time, we released a new test driver for 4th and 5th Generation graphics controllers. There is no specific fix for Resident Evil 7 listed, but I think it is still worth checking it out.

Please let me know how it goes from your end.
Kindest Regards,

OK to be more specific... The device Manager ist giving me error Code 52 because Windows could not verify that this Driver ist digitally signed or something like that. Don't know if the Problem is the Test Driver of if the package itself contains a corrupt file.

I would really love to hear a response from this as well. I am having the exact same problem as the OP and my graphics card is Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500 with the same error within the game at the exact same spot.

Well... so is Intel investigating the problem or shall we forget all hope? The driver from end of march 2017 also doesn't work.
Anything? Would be nice to hear from you again.
If it doesn't work on Intel HD Hardware just let us know, it's ok. But please let us know an answer.

Hi mischa1981 and to all the peers on this thread: I just wanted to let you know that I just received an update on the research we were doing on this matter. Based on that information, on 5th generation graphics the game was tested and it will run properly as long as the GPU is Intel® Iris™ Pro Graphics 6200:
https://gameplay.intel.com/en-us/CPUAndGameSelected/Index/88040/658670/0 https://gameplay.intel.com/en-us/CPUAndGameSelected/Index/88040/658670/0
In this case, since your unit is a 5th generation processor, in order try to fix this problem and for the game to run without any problems what we recommend is to try to match the settings showing on the link above.
Any questions, please let me know.
Regards,
Alberto R
