As Microsoft Windows 10 launch approaches, many users are looking for Beta graphics drivers that support Intel products on Windows 10. Unlike previous Windows releases, Intel is providing Beta drivers to Microsoft directly. The Intel drivers will be available to end users via http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ Windows Update. Many end users are accustomed to getting Beta drivers for pre-release Windows directly from Intel, so we've taken extra care to make sure the Windows Update process is as seamless and trouble-free as possible.

When Windows 10 is released, Intel will be providing Win10 graphics drivers for supported Intel products directly on Intel® Download Center. Until that time, please continue to update your Win10 drivers via Windows Update.

An Intel Graphics Beta driver for Windows*10 can be found in Windows Update. Please run Windows Update from within Windows or visit Microsoft's http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ Windows Update Web site.

Windows Update is included in the Windows Control Panel. To check for updates within Windows, Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.

Except that the driver you strongly suggest in this verbiage: "An Intel Graphics Beta driver for Windows*10 can be found in Windows Update. Please run Windows Update from within Windows or visit Microsoft's http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ Windows Update Web site." does not appear to actually exist or be downloadable via Windows Update.

Did you *actually* provide them to Microsoft, or is it just a smokescreen to stave off development a couple more weeks?

I'm not sure what platform you're talking about. We've been closely collaborating with Microsoft to ensure drivers are on WU for supported platforms through the tech preview period. Could you detail your configuration + exactly what steps you're taking to get the drivers and I can look into this further? Thanks.

Note that the OS states Windows 8, which is incorrect; I have the latest / final 10 build installed and it's otherwise working fine.

Current Device Manager / Graphics error:

I have tried both using Windows Update via the web, and using built-in Windows Updates. The error persists, and I cannot choose any resolution other than the basic Microsoft driver allows. Further, the Intel display management tools will not run/install.

I have uninstalled the driver, reinstalled, attempted getting the driver from other sources, etc.

Please advise.

I'm actually pretty disappointed. Somebody is not doing their job.

I tried to download the drivers here because the drivers supplied by Windows Update are incompatible with my Surface Pro 3 in Windows 10. The firmware updates don't fix the problem and I can't seem to get anything to work. Please somebody fix this before July 29th or this is going to be a highly visible problem. One better, fix it now.

What do I need to do to make this update actually appear? Windows Update says there are no more updates, but I'm still using the driver from my motherboard manufacturer's website.

That's also part of what's happening to me.

Windows Update (native) won't pull down the update, and Windows Update (Web) doesn't even let me begin the process, because of the error you described.

Hi all,

The drivers posted to WU are Intel generic drivers. If you had any prior driver installed from a manufacturer, chances are they were customized and won't allow you to install generic drivers over them. Please completely uninstall the Graphics driver and reboot, no Display Adapter driver should show in the device manager for Intel. From here, using either WU or updating via Device Manager "Update Driver Software" or "Update Driver" should work. I tested this on a clean install, used the DM update driver option and after driver install completed 4235 was installed. 4235 is the latest official Beta driver we have available on WU. A new production level driver will be available in Download Center and WU after the Win10 official launch.

Firstly, thanks to jonathan_intel again for helping me with my intel 750 ssd NVMe driver issue.

I have just had experience running "Fallout 4" from off my intel 750 ssd on my intel i7 5775C CPU.

The iris pro 6200 graphics appears sufficient for good game-play, however,

I have experienced some instability with the game often falling back to the desktop.

I can not diagnose this problem, as I have neither updated driver nor a bug-fixed game, as

the game has just been released.

May I ask that intel consider releasing drivers marked "game only beta" when said drivers

are sufficiently through the qualification process to be reasonably sure that only video

artifact issues are likely to remain.

Please also consider that intel CPU heat sink/fans are undersized for some parts of the world.

I live in the most isolated city on Earth on the Western edge of Great Antipodes, where

indoors daytime temperatures are over 90 Fahrenheit for at least 4 months of the year,

which makes CPU temperatures, in even well ventilated cases, borderline.

Indeed, for this reason, the low power dissipation of the i7 5775C CPU, coupled with the

high capacity of the "Intel Thermal Solution TS15A" were one big consideration when purchasing.

I will be very grateful if you will be so kind as to provide a driver which works with Fallout 4, as I, and very many others, have been waiting a month now for driver support.

I appreciate you using a lot of transistors and die area making a graphics unit, but if you do not provide a driver, you may as well have not bothered.

Indeed you have wasted transistors and die area ineffectively. You could have used those resources for more general purpose integer performance, and

left it to the programmer how to use it instead of specializing it for graphics instructions.

I have a NUC with the i5-4250 cpu.... why have you dedicated 3/4 of the die to a gpu that does not perform, when you could have given me the

4 real cores and decent sized cache an i5 cpu is connoted as having; OMG, even your atom cpu has 4 real cores.

I have bought a i7-5775C cpu where you have dedicated 1/2 of the die to the gpu. I would really have much preferred 8 real cores instead of a gpu that intel is not properly supporting.

Since your gpu driver support is poor, it looks like I need an external video card from a manufacturer who understands hardware is worthless without good driver support, eg nvidia or ati.

The single PCI-E slot freed up by the integrated gpu is used for an intel 750 ssd, containing my steam game cache, excepting that I am now in the quandary of needing an

external video card which must occupy its spot on my itx motherboard.

Please work out whether you are going to provide a decent, driver supported, gpu or not. If not, please use your resources to make the cpu faster...

There have been no breathtaking cpu performance improvements since sandy bridge. Yes, I have a i7-2600k as well, which at least did not disproportionately allocate resources to the gpu.

I'm running Win10 RTM and Intel HD 4000 hardware. Windows Update does not detect any new drivers at all. I am still stuck on 2013 compatibility drivers and it's killing my performance in recent software. I cannot install the latest drivers in win8.1 compatibility mode at all. Please add a link to the drivers directly....

Windows update successfully installed the driver (.4235) after I did the following:

In device manager, enter HD graphics properties

Driver tab, click Uninstall

Check 'delete driver software'

Restart

Windows update downloaded and installed the driver Bryce mentioned before I had the chance to check for updates manually.
