Intel(R) HD Graphics 620 need updated driver

Hi,

a new version of a virtual trainer just uploaded crash with the following message:

The installed version of the Intel graphics driver has known issues.
Please install the latest driver version.
Would you like to visit the following URL to download the driver?
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/80939/Graphics
Intel(R) HD Graphics 620
Installed: 27.20.100.9416
Minimum required: 30.0.101.1340

I installed the Intel DSA and it says that the driver is at latest versione available:

Intel® HD Graphics 620
Driver Details Up to date
Provider Intel Corporation
Version 27.20.100.9416
Date 2021-03-24

Tried to check on Intel website for a newer version, but it seems that the graphic card is not more supported and I could not find the required version.

Is there a way to use another driver with minimum version (30.0.101.1340)  requested?

Thanks

Giorgio

Hi Giorgio,

The latest Graphics Driver for your CPU Integrated Graphics is version 31.0.101.2135.   You may download and install the latest driver using Clean Installation method.  Be aware, since the latest Intel driver is an generic driver, you may lose some OEM customization (if any). Any way, you may try.

From the SSU report I can see that the BIOS in you laptop is outdated(ver.2.50). This is a link to Toshiba support page, containing the latest BIOS (ver. 4.10) and all the drivers released. For example, the latest Graphics Driver, released by Toshiba is ver. 25.20.100.6576. So, if the version 31.0.101.2135 will be problematic, you will be able to downgrade it to ver. 25.20.100.6576.

Hi AlHill,

many thanks for your quick reply. I tried to install the driver but it failed saying (translated from Italian):

The system contains a driver fixed from tech spec of manufacturer. To execute the update download the more recent driver from the manufacturer web site.

I attach the error log, hoping you can have another suggestion.

Maybe I have to check into Toshiba website

Thanks again

I have checked into Toshiba Tecra support section and the available driver is the one already installed.

Any additional suggestion?

Thanks in advance

In order to get better information about your system, please download the Intel System Support Utility (SSU). Run the SSU scan (check "Everything") and save the results. The .txt file with the results please attach to your post.

Hi Leon,

it seems I was able to solve the problem.

I first updated the BIOS and then installed the graphic card driver from Intel.

To install the driver I followed setion "Uninstall and Install the Graphics Driver" of the "Clean Installation method".

Many thanks for your support, it seems I can now ride with MyWoosh until their next update.

Ciao
