sangeeth, Thank ypou very much for providing that information and the SSU report.

First, we just wanted to mention, that it is great to know that the issue got fixed automatically and that the Nvidia graphics card and the rest of the components are now properly detected on your machine.

In reference to your request about what happened with your device, it is difficult to identify for sure the source of the issue. The SSU report is not a diagnostic tool, the information that it provides is basically model numbers and how the parts are being recognized by the system. In this case, the problem could be related to, BIOS settings, the Windows* version being used, Windows* updates, driver updates, or even the connection or the assembly of the parts. For example, if by any chance the Nvidia graphics card is not properly attached to the board, through the PCIe port, it will not be recognized and you will see this error message on "Device Manager" related to Intel® Pcie controller x16-1901, but still, it is difficult to be able to determine that for a fact unless a physical inspection of the computer is done.

It is very unlikely for the issue to come back again. It is important to mention, that we always recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer, since that driver was customized by them to work with your specific platform. Accroding to the SSU report, currently, the graphics driver version on your system is 27.20.100.8280 provided by Acer.

As you can see in the link below, there are a lot of graphics driver versions provided by Acer, both for Intel® and Nvidia. That means your platform is working with a hybrid graphics configuration. The latest one for Intel® is version 1952.14.0.1470 from 2020/12/11:

https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/8305?b=1

And from Nvidia, the latest graphics driver version they have available for the GTX 1660Ti, which is the model of your Nvidia graphics card, is 27.21.14.5167 from 2021/07/02 that you can see on that same link provided above. Accroding to the SSU document the version currently installed is 31.0.15.1659.

The latest Intel® graphics driver version we have available on our website is 30.0.101.1994, if necessary you can always test it, keeping in mind that is generic:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19344/intel-graphics-windows-dch-drivers.html?

Still, at this point, since the laptop is working properly, we recommend to keep using the computer as it is, to follow the recommendations provided by Acer, even though Windows* 11 seems to be fully compatible, making sure the latest BIOS version is currently installed, and to use their graphics drivers for the proper functionality of the computer.

We are really glad to hear the problem got fixed. If the issue comes back or if you have further questions, do not hesitate to contact us again.

Regards,

Albert R.

I am also having this issue and I want to know where I can find intel drivers for the PCIe controller to update it. I have looked all over on intel.com and on Google and the only places with drivers are pretty obviously viruses or modded.

I had the same problem, I was playing Skyrim for several hours and then my laptop crashed. I was using a TV as my main screen for improve experience and after crashing I just wanted to see my Nvidia Control Panel to see if there was some info. After that I found this Dialog window that said that there was not any graphics card detected. I went to device manager and I had this component error: Intel(R) Pcie controller x16-1901 driver issue. I was really concerned because it's my only computer for study, I tried to find a solution and I reach this place but there was not an answer for fix my problem. Finally I don't know why but I decided to play again on the screen without my graphics card and after connect my HDMI and look again into Nvidia panel my error was gone and even in device manager error was not in there anymore. I'm using an Acer Nitro 5, so if somebody is getting a similar error that's a way.
