Intel (R) UHD 630 driver unsupported

Im on the driver & support site and every time I go to install the reccomended driver
(Intel® Graphics - Windows® 10 DCH Drivers (Archived) ) it says my hardware is unsupported despite being the recommended driver.
Please help.

So the Intel support engineers can have more information about your system, Please download and run the Intel System Support Utility (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows- ) for Windows. Select all data categories and then have it generate a report. Next, have the tool Save the report to a text file (don't try to use the Submit capability; it doesn't work). Finally, using the Drag and drop here or browse files to attach dialog below the edit box for the body of your response post, upload and attach this file to the response post.

Is this a laptop? If so, I would speculate that you already have a driver package installed that was produced by the Laptop Manufacturer and which contains customizations supporting specific features (hotkeys, dimming controls, etc.) of the laptop. In this case, the installation of a generic driver package from Intel will purposely be blocked from occurring. Why? Because its installation would cause these customizations to be lost and these features to not work and could result in overall instability.

Now that you understand the ramifications of using a generic Intel driver, do you still want to install one? That is, do you value the fixes  and/or new features that may be available in a newer generic driver release more than these other features and capabilities of your laptop? If so, you can do the following,

  1. Best: Visit your laptop manufacturer's web site and install any updated graphics driver package that they offer.
  2. If there is no driver package available from the vendor that has the fixes or features that you desire, then contact your laptop manufacturer and request that they provide you with an updated package.
  3. If you have given up on your laptop manufacturer delivering such a package, there is a way to get the latest generic driver release from Intel to install. You simply need to uninstall all previous driver packages until only the Microsoft Basic Driver is left. You will then be able to install the new package. Remember, this will disable all customizations and laptop features the laptop manufacturer supported through their customized driver package.

If this is NOT a laptop, there is one other possibility to consider: You might have an older driver package installed that is not DCH-architected. In this case, the answer is similar to the above, namely uninstall the driver packages until only the Microsoft Basic driver is installed and then install the latest DCH-based driver package.
