Intel UHD Graphics 770 HDR

I've got this PC ; https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/desktop-computers/optiplex-5000-micro-form-factor/spd/optiplex-5000-micro/gctoo5000mffusvp?redirectTo=SOC It has the Intel UHD Graphics 770 . It's connected to my brand new, 2022 release,QE55S95BA screen. This via a HDMI Ultra High Speed cable. Now the problem is I can never tell my PC (Windows 11 64bit) that the display is HDR capable. Always grayed out in Display settings. I've updated all my drivers via Dell Command Update, didn't help. What else should I check?

Yes, this is good. If you look at the manufacturer's website:

https://www.4xem.com/product/4xems-1m-8k-and-4k-displayport-to-hdmi-cable-copy/

In "Specifications" they say: Chip ID Synaptics VMM6100.

The current firmware is 6.05.120. If you buy this cable and it is not operating as expected you can do a firmware update to the cable when it is plugged in.

One final tip: All once connected display devices and their associated Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) are stored in the Windows registry. Unfortunately, with many existing entries, this sometimes causes Windows to get confused. You can clean up. Download this.

Execute "reset-all.exe":

Hit "YES" and reboot your device. Keep your TV switched on during this process.

When the computer and Windows start up again, the connected display is re-learned and a corresponding EDID entry is created in the Windows registry. Then set the desired resolution and refresh rate again. From this point on, the settings should be retained. You can repeat the process described as often as you like. I've done this myself many times, so I can say it's no risk. If you are unsure, please read the instructions in the link above or search the web for further information on this tool.

Ah great stuff, thanks! There aren't many entries on this PC, only has 1 screen ever connected to it.

But this will come in handy, hopefully I can manage to make it as user friendly as possible again!

Thanks!!
