Hi Cala,
Thank you for posting in our Community. To help us better investigate this behavior, particularly when the refresh rate is set above 60Hz, could you kindly provide the following details:
- What is the make and model of your monitor?
- What refresh rate(s) have you tested, and at which point does the stuttering begin?
- Are you using DisplayPort, HDMI, or an adapter?
- Have you tried a different cable or port?
- Which graphics driver version is currently installed?
- When you mention that the screen stutters, are you referring to visual glitches or disruptions in the display? If possible, could you kindly share a video or screenshot that clearly shows the issue? This would help us better understand and diagnose the problem.
- Are you using any third-party software to control your display settings (e.g., monitor utilities, V-Sync settings, G-Sync/FreeSync)?
- I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue
- Additionally, if you have done any other tests, please let me know the details so we don't cover the same ground twice.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Thank you for responding
To answer the question first combination
I have i9 12900 with arc a770 16gb as for CPU and GPU
The issue starts at anything over 60hz I tested 100,120, 144
I am using HDMI 2.1
The display is a 55inch television E7q pro by hisense
For test I shifted enabled on board gpu and flickering stopped since the composition is by integrated GPU switching back to arc 770 screen starts flickering
I disabled variable refresh rate and vsync
No third party softwares in use
Tested different cables all rated to support 144hz,
I will share a vedio and ssu logs as soon as possible but have heard it's been bothering a lot of arc users
Driver version 32.0.101.6967
A clean install has been performed after using ddu to remove gpu drivers but issue stays the same

Hello Cala,
Thank you for sending over the requested files, including the videos. I appreciate your effort in capturing both the screen configuration and the issue clearly. After reviewing the SSU logs, I noticed that your current graphics driver version is 32.0.101.6967, which appears to be outdated. To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, I recommend updating your graphics driver to the latest version, 32.0.101.6972. Before proceeding with the installation, I suggest using Intel’s Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) tool to fully clean out the existing driver. This helps prevent potential conflicts and ensures a smoother update process.
Please let me know once the update is complete or if you need any assistance with the steps. I’ll be happy to guide you through it.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hi Von,
I updated the driver and also uses DDU to first remove the old one and then installed the new ones.
It made it worse to be honest, attaching SSU after re-install

Hello Cala,
Thank you for the update and for taking the time to reinstall the drivers using DDU. I'm sorry to hear that the issue has worsened after the update. I've reviewed your message and the attached SSU report. I’ll need to perform some further checks and investigation on this to better understand what’s going on and determine the next best steps. I’ll get back to you as soon as I have more insights.
Thank you for your continued patience, and rest assured, I’m on it.
Best regards,

Hi Von,
I appreciate the help, And I had good run with intel arc until I utilized higher refresh rate and that being said there are no issues with integrated driver on i9 12900 with 120HZ though lower resolution
I checked intel community post and reddit, lot of people posted same issues with higher refresh rate

Hello Cala,
Thank you once again for reaching out to us, and I appreciate your patience as we continue to investigate the issue further.
To help us get a clearer picture and identify the root cause more accurately, could you kindly assist by providing the following information:
- When did the issue begin, and was the system functioning properly before?
- Is the monitor [https://www.hisense-india.com/v/55E7QPRO] the one that you're currently using?
- Can you attempt to connect the graphics card to a different monitor or system to isolate the issue, if possible?
- Is there a way to test the DisplayPort using a different monitor? We need to determine if the problem is specific to the HDMI port or also affects the DP port.
- Does the issue occur only when watching videos?
- Regarding the video you provided, is it an online video, such as from YouTube? If so, can you share the link so we can attempt to replicate the issue? Additionally, I would like to inquire about the video quality setting, such as 4K.
- Are you using a direct HDMI-to-HDMI connection from the GPU to the monitor, or are any adapters being used?
- Lastly, are you currently using the HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 ports on the monitor? These ports support 4K at 144Hz, while HDMI 1 supports only up to 4K at 60Hz, which might impact performance depending on the video settings
Once we have this information, we’ll be better equipped to guide you toward a resolution.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hi Von,
below are answers to the question asked
Issue started when I set the system to higher refresh rate beyond 60hz before I had 4k TV but with 60HZ as max refresh rate
Yes, the monitor is indeed E7QPRO (Product code '55E7QPRO') | Hisense India
For test with different screen unfortunately I do not have any display with refresh rate higher than 60HZ after from this TV but will look, if possible, probability is not that high though
Yes, I have ordered a cable specifically for the test DP connection no connectors, I will get the cable in 3-4 days
No, the issue affects everything even at idle state the tv keeps refreshing with motion the on frequency is higher
The used video for test https://youtu.be/nK9d09fFSyc
Yes, the connection is direct, no middleware connectors involved
Yes, I am connected to 3 on TV that supports the 4k 144hz eARC
PS:
I will share the DP connection result
I appreciate your prompt responses, if possible, please test inhouse as well and well the card is pretty new been 5 months so happy to be a tester if this resolve underlying issues for intel since the cards have potential

Hi Von,
I got the cable dp1.4 to hdmi 2.1 unidirectional below model
https://www.ugreenindia.com/products/ugreen-unidirectional-displayport-to-hdmi-cable-8k-60hz-4k-120hz-active-dp-1-4-to-hdmi-2-1-cord-hdr-dolby-hdcp2-3-dsc1-2a-32-4gbps-braided-3-3ft-compatible-with-monitor-dell-hp-hdtv-amd-nvidia-80395
Though there is not screen stutter the Display adapter will not show anything beyond 2k at 120HZ in listed display adapter hence no 4k
HDMI cable was tested with PS5 and it worked as expected with 144hz
And with each new release of the GPU driver the stutter is more prominent.
