The other day I noticed my intel iris graphics were horribly out of date, about 2021, so I decided to update them. However, once I installed and restarted my laptop's display would not work. I had to connect to a TV using an HDMI cord. The only way to get the display to work was to go into device manager and force the drivers to update. However, everytime my display turns off, whether sleep mode or shut down, it begins to flicker and glitch upon turning back on. I am able to get my display back by updating the drivers, but I have to do that every single time and sometimes windows auto-reverts me back to the driver from 2021. How do I fix this?
I attached some information I think will be helpful, but please let me know if more is needed.

Hello liamgray04,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
I would like to know more about your system details to fully understand where the issue truly lies. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.
- Scan: Check the box Everything.
- Click Scan.
- Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
- Click Save. *Attach the SSU log file as you reply.
Additionally, please help check and share the following:
- Please verify that there are no pending Windows updates.
- Confirm whether the issue occurs with the native display, and that you only need to connect to your TV each time the display fails, in order to update the driver.
- Did you manually download and install the latest graphics driver?
- If so, from which download page did you obtain it?
- If not, how did you update the driver when you first noticed it was outdated? Did you use Device Manager, select "update driver," or employ a driver updater tool/application?
I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.
