Thank god when I came back I had a lot of my attempted post content auto-saved. I'll cut it short where it got deleted and ask the bottom-line question. I have an AMD Radeon RX590 graphics card. With an upgraded motherboard and cpu from an Intel -i5 to an i7, now all my videos (even any YouTube) stutters badly. I think the integrated gpu is conflicting with the AMD that worked beautifully before the upgrade. Can I uninstall the Intel UHD graphics 770 drivers? I don't need them if my AMD graphics card is allowed to work. I uninstalled the Intel gpu driver (at the Windows Device Manager, but it keeps coming back like a bad dream.
I use OBS Studio a lot and now that I'm having the video and audio terrible performance problems, when I run a log analysis in OBS it tells me that I have a critical rendering lag of 75% and gpu overload of 38.8%. In the AMD Performance tracking section when the Intel driver is back and running, it shows the gpu utilization by the Radeon graphics card as 0%, but when I uninstall it, the gpu utilization spiking from 0 to 80%, while the i7 cpu utilization goes down to 0-2%.
I just have an indication that something is wrong, but I don't know what or how to fix it.

Hello silvanet,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I can imagine how frustrating this is for you, and to help you with this issue I would like you to try the following:
1. To make sure that the Intel graphics are working properly, try a clean install of the driver:
- Driver: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html
- Steps: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000057389.html
2. Try a clean install of the drivers provided by the manufacturer of your motherboard. Those drivers are customized for the motherboard.
3. Get in contact with the manufacturer of the motherboard to confirm that you have the latest BIOS and the right BIOS settings.
4. Run all the operating system updates, including the optionals.
5. Run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool, to check if there are any problems with the CPU.
6. If you want, you can disable the Intel graphics from the device manager: Device manager => Display Adapters => UHD graphics 770 => Driver => Disable device.
If none of the previous steps worked, I recommend you to check with the motherboard manufacturer for further support about the dual graphics configuration.
Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.

Deivid A.

Thank you. I did try asking the motherboard manufacturer for support, but that was a bust. They have the all too common automated gatekeeping with help deeply hidden and inaccessible. They also have forums, but I found nothing of help there either.
I did try some combination of things, like disabling either the UHD 770, or alternatively the AMD card. I'm pretty sure the problem is there, but I don't know enough about Intel cpus with integrated graphics. I'm even afraid to install the Intel Arc driver.
Apart from getting the horrible stuttering in both sound and videos when I had both device drivers active, I use OBS Studio a lot, and that was glitching as well. I read somewhere that integrated graphics on cpus don't have the power to run games, especially if you try to record or superimpose your webcam while streaming. I never had any problems running games on the AMD.
Experimenting, I found that for the most part I get desired results disabling the AMD (later, I actually removed it, but the software is still installed and comes up. I just don't know what it would be controlling. I'll see about that).
So now I'm running the UHD 770 without video or audio stuttering. I did get a new better cpu cooling unit. My Super Flower 650 W PSU seems to handle everything. OBS works again. Can I safely try Arc, or does that require installation of an ARC card? I see those require DDR6 RAM, and I think the MSI motherboard I just bought and installed only uses DDR4.
Sorry, one more question about this forum. Is it possible for me to only subscribe to the question I posted? I am getting a ton of emails notifying me of every single post on the graphics forum daily.

Hello silvanet,
Thanks for your response. I would like to let you know that the driver provided (Intel® Arc™ & Iris® Xe Graphics - Windows) is the one supported and compatible with your Intel® UHD Graphics 770. This driver works for Arc cards and also for your Intel® UHD Graphics 770 and there is no need for an Arc card to be able to install the update. Let me know if you were able to install the driver and if the issue persisted.
You mentioned " found that for the most part I get desired results disabling the AMD", does it mean that you are not getting issues when you only use the Intel® UHD Graphics 770, is that right? If so, this could mean either the AMD card is defective or was not properly installed into the PCI-E.
Related to your question about the community notifications, check the main page for the "Graphics" forum, and make sure that you are not subscribed and you can check the "More Actions" option.

Hello silvanet,
I want to know if you had any issues installing the graphics driver and if you only experience issues when you use the AMD card.
I will be waiting for your next response.
