Is Intel worse than AMD at making drivers?

Ok so I have a Retina Macbook Pro 13" and im having so much trouble with the Intel drivers. Im currently using .3907 because .3960 completely fucked up my fps in games. I seriously cant find a single good Intel driver. Anyone wanna help me?
