I have an ASUS Eee PC (Intel Atom N280 CPU, XP Home edition) which has the Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset. When I started using the PC, I was able to change the display power settings through the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for mobile window. However, when I access the Power Setting window through this out my control panel, the resulting window is grayed out, and seems to be set to Max Quality/Running on Batteries regardless of whether I have the power cord connected.
Should I reload the drivers (using the update utility on this site? I see I have the latest version of the drivers for this chipset. I keep thinking that somehow I set something wrong and there should be a simple click or two fix.
I can't seem to find anything on point in troubleshooting or in these forums, so I'm posting this in the hopes that there is a simple fix. Thanks.

Hi John Spargo,
The drivers that are installed through Windows Update are generic so; those drivers may or may not work properly on every OEM system. I recommend you uninstall the current driver from Programs and Features in Control Panel first and then install the driver Asus provides in their website.
