Massive Light Glitch Issues on Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Ever since Call of Duty Black Ops 7 came out and did it's integration with Warzone, I have been experiencing occasional graphical glitches during gameplay. It starts at a random point on my screen (sometimes my gun, sometimes a light source, sometimes nothing in particular) where there will be a sudden blotch of white light. This light will slowly bloom out of control and take over my whole screen except for my HUD. The only way to regain normal vision is to die in the game and respawn. Sometimes I can stop the light from totally taking over my screen if I look away from it fast enough, but this doesn't work all the time.

This issue used to happen on a rare occasion so it hasn't been that much of an issue until the last few graphics driver updates. Specifically on the latest graphics driver version for my card the issue happens so frequently it renders the game nearly unplayable. I have attached two videos of this happening in game and I will also attach my computer specifications.

PC Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i5 12400F
GPU: Intel Arc B580
Motherboard: MSI Pro B760M-P DDR4
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
OS: Windows 11 (latest ver)
Graphics Driver Version: 32.0.101.8724

Hi TheRealGordonFreeman,

Thank you for raising this concern via the Intel Community.

I understand you’re experiencing severe graphical glitches (white light bloom taking over the screen) in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 / Warzone, which have become more frequent with recent driver updates. I’ll help narrow down the cause.

Please confirm the following:

  1. Does this issue only occur in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 / Warzone, or also in other games/applications?
  2. You mentioned it worsened after recent drivers, have you tried rolling back to a previous version? If yes, which version and what was the result?
  3. Are you using default in-game graphics settings, or have you customized options (e.g., lighting, ray tracing, XeSS)?
  4. Does lowering or disabling settings like lighting, bloom, or post-processing reduce the issue?
  5. Have you performed a clean driver installation (DDU) before installing version 32.0.101.8724?
  6. Is Resizable BAR (ReBAR) enabled in your BIOS?
  7. Where did you download/install the game (Steam, Battle.net, etc.)?

Additionally, to better understand your system's configuration, I kindly request that you download the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software.

You can find the download link here:

      1. Download and launch SSU.exe.
      2. Check the box for “Everything,” then uncheck Networking for your privacy.
      3. Click "Scan."
      4. When the scanning is complete, click "Next."
      5. Click "Save."
      6. Please send the saved file to us.

This information will greatly assist us in diagnosing and addressing the specific concerns with your system. If you encounter any challenges during this process or have additional questions, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thanks, I’ll proceed once I have your response.

Best regards,

Firstly, yes this issue only occurs in Call of Duty Black Ops 7 / Warzone, all other games/programs work completely fine. Secondly, yes, after the most recent driver version made the issue worse I did attempt to roll back to previous driver versions. I tried running the game on the following driver versions:
32.0.101.8724

32.0.101.8629

32.0.101.8626

32.0.101.8531

The issue occurs on all of them, at more or less the same  level of frequency, however on 32.0.101.8531 in particular, the issue is constant and even happens in menus outside of normal gameplay. I  use very simple, low graphics settings for this game and don't have any particular GPU stressors enabled (ray tracing, etc). No amount of modification to my in game graphics settings fixes or changes this issue, it appears to be linked to something wrong with the card's compatibility with the game.

Every time I install a new driver (including when I was testing the other versions) I always do a fresh, clean install using DDU and I do it in Windows safe mode as well. I have resizeable BAR enabled in my bios and have had it enabled since I installed the card, and I launch/play the game via Battle.net.

  1. Is Resizable BAR (ReBAR) enabled in your BIOS?
  2. Where did you download/install the game (Steam, Battle.net, etc.)?

I will preface this reply by answering the simple things first. I launch/play Call of Duty Black Ops 7 off of Battle.net, ReBAR is enabled in  my bios and has been since I installed my graphics card, and I use very simple, low graphics settings for the game with no particular GPU stressors (ray tracing, etc.) enabled.

I now want to adress the more specific requests, starting with the question about the issue worsening with recent drivers. I have already attempted to roll back my drivers to 4 different versions to no avail. The issue happens on all of them with varying degrees of frequency, with one in particular (32.0.101.8531) having the glitch be constant, even in menus outside of normal gamaplay.
I have tried the following driver versions:
32.0.101.8724

32.0.101.8629

32.0.101.8626

32.0.101.8531

Every time I install a new driver (including when I was testing the 4 listed above) I always do a fresh, clean instal via DDU in Windows safe mode. No amount of setting adjustments ingame fixes this, and Call of Duty Black Ops 7 and Warzone are the only games where this specific issue happens. All other games and programs run fine. I have had other issues that are similar with other recent Call of Duty titles, including but not limited to; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and others.

I have attactched the SSU readout as requested.

I downloaded, and currently run Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 off of Battle.net, and it is the only game along with Warzone that has this particular issue. I have had issues with other recent Call of Duty titles in the past, including but not limited to; Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and others. In game I use low, simple graphics settings and don't enable any particular GPU stressors (ray tracing, etc.). ReBAR is enabled in my BIOS and has been since I installed this card.

I have already tried rolling back my drivers to find a version that didn't have this problem, to no avail. They all have this issue in varying degrees of frquency, with one in particular (32.0.101.8531) having the issue constantly even in menus outside of gameplay.
I have tested the following four driver versions:
32.0.101.8724
32.0.101.8629

32.0.101.8626

32.0.101.8531
I have attached the SSU readout as requested.

Hi TheRealGordonFreeman,

Thank you again for the detailed information and for the extensive troubleshooting you’ve already completed, I truly appreciate your effort.

To continue checking this behavior, I recommend trying the latest available graphics driver version 32.0.101.8735, as newer drivers may include improvements or fixes related to game compatibility.

You can download it here: Download Intel Arc Graphics Driver

If possible, please install it using a clean method (DDU) to ensure previous driver remnants are removed.

Additionally, to better understand the behavior in case we need to replicate the issue:

  1. Does the issue occur more frequently in certain situations (e.g., specific maps, lighting conditions, or during combat)?
  2. Approximately how long does it take before the issue appears after launching the game?
  3. I understand you think this is random but to clarify, have you noticed any patterns over time, or does it appear completely unpredictable?

Once you’ve tested the latest driver, please let me know if the issue still persists and share your observations. This will help me continue investigating and determine the next steps more effectively.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

As of 4/23/2026 at 10:00 PM CST I have tested the new graphics driver (32.0.101.8735) as requested, and the issue is still happening with the exact same level of frequency. However I did realize one piece of information I forgot to mention in my original report, this issue only happens when playing on the map Rebirth Island.

Hi TheRealGordonFreeman,

Thank you for the additional information you provided.

To continue investigating this behavior, you mentioned that “this issue only happens when playing on the map Rebirth Island.” Could you please provide a video or let us know how we can replicate the issue you’re experiencing on this map? I’m unable to open the attachment from your initial post.

Additionally, to further investigate your case, I would like to request a screenshot of the game settings you’re using so we can better understand the issue you’re reporting.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Best regards,

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to open the attchments from the OP, as they're both short 1080p video clips encoded as .mp4 video files. They play fine for me, but I will send another copy. Please let me know if this one doesn't work.

I'm not exactly sure how to replicate it, because as far as I can tell there's nothing I'm doing that's triggering it. It just happens at seemingly random points, usually about every 30-45 seconds. Lately I've been paying more attention  to the glitch's behavior and I've noticed a couple interesting things; number one, the glitch always starts from a point either on my weapon, or somewhere in the environment.  If the glitch starts on my weapon, the only way to get rid of it before it takes over the screen is to swtich weapons (I usually switch to my knife) and it dissapears. However, if the glitch starts in the environment I can stop it from taking  over my screen by looking away from the source fast enough. But bi matter what I do it always comes back, and it happens so often that it HEAVILY impedes my ability to play the game correctly.

I have attached multiple screenshots showing different sections of my in-game display/graphics settings as requested.

I deeply appreciate that you are actually looking into this issue.

Hello TheRealGordonFreeman,

Thank you for your patience.

I tried to simulate the issue using driver version 32.0.101.8735 with similar settings, but I was not able to reproduce the behavior on my end. To help narrow this down further, could you please confirm the following:

  1. Have you tried installing the newer graphics driver version 32.0.101.8737 to see if the issue still occurs?
  2. Have you updated your BIOS to the latest version for your PRO B760M-P DDR4 motherboard?
  3. Have you verified the integrity of the game files through Battle.net?
  4. If not yet done, have you tried reinstalling the game?
  5. Have you considered performing a clean OS reinstallation?

For your reference, you may also review this simulation video: https://youtu.be/QvH4s_OSrIg

Please let me know your findings so I can better understand the situation and continue assisting you.

I have not updated my BIOS recently, and it turns out there was a new BIOS version for my motherboard released on April ninth, but the issue has been happening since last December so I doubt that's the cause of the issue. However I will update it anyway and report my findings in this thread. I will also update to the newest driver version to see if that changes anything.

As far as points three and four, I have already verified the game files through Battle.net almost twenty times since this issue started ocurring and that has never fixed the issue. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the game twice since this issue began to no avail and I have also tried running the game on an alternate launcher (Steam) and this issue occurs on both.

Regarding your last suggestion, I only built this PC a little over a year ago, so the installation of Windows 11 Pro I use is brand new and up to date so I will not consider an OS reinstallation. I may not be a qualified IT technician but I build computers for a living and know enough to tell you that this is 100% a software or hardware issue with the graphics card itself.

I have a question. When you tested this yourself on driver version 32.0.101.8735  did you make sure that your in-game gamma setting in the Display tab was set to "2.4 (BT1886)"?

Hello TheRealGordonFreeman,

Thank you for the detailed update and for taking the time to test and clarify the troubleshooting already performed.

I also appreciate you proceeding with the BIOS update and newer driver installation. Please let us know how the system behaves afterward and if there are any changes with the issue.

Regarding your question about the gamma setting, I apologize that the previous simulation did not clearly show the exact settings used during testing.

To help clarify this, here is another simulation video showing the game settings based on the screenshots you previously provided, including the display configuration:

Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1O96BXy6pw

Please feel free to review it and let us know if there are any differences compared to your setup.
