Missing Feature: Arc Control Center still no capture hotkey & and existing hotkeys not customizable

I noticed even with in latest *.4824 driver package,

that Intel Arc Control  Menu still has terrible limited functionalities ,

for example :

* there is a hotkey for starting / stopping that useless & limited highlights feature

* there is a switch to disable all hotkeys

* the option to alter / change the actual key used for each action, is non-functional:

it's greyed out / nothing happens if you click the small rectangle/arrow that's supposed to allow something different / set custom key combo .

again, the biggest downside is - imho - that we have  to

* alt-tab out of the game

(and that's not always working flawlessly, windowed mode, borderless, exclusive fullscreen, vulkan games.. can cause problems of all sort sometimes) ,

* switch to arc control,

* start recording manually there,

* quickly switch back ingame, because  it will even record the arc control menu ,

* then switch back and stop recording. (and perhaps you need to edit the video if you dont want the control interface remain visible in it.. not so great)

so,

requesting the  implementation of customizable hotkeys in general,

and especially a  global hotkey in order to start / stop capture from within game :

here's an example video, I recorded that one also for other purposes :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4X4fkM4IPA

you can see what I mean, at the beginning & end you will see the Arc Control menu that gets in the way.

if the game runs in windowed mode it's even worse than above,

because then Arc Control Capture isn't filtering / hooking to the active window,

and it would just records the entire desktop

* you won't notice the audio cut offs in the video I guess because theyre not there,

turns out this time it is maybe a AV1 HW decoding issue of Arcs media engine / possibly 4824 driver this time:

the locally stored original file has the problem  ( encoded AV1 codec) on playback with the Arc (and for example MPC-BE ),

while the uploaded file plays through without audio issues it seems  - because youtube encodes to a different codec and, Arc then decodes it from there..

Hello LynxRufus

Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities.

We are actually working on adding customizable hotkeys in future updates of Arc Control following the users' feedback that we have received for our main graphics software, however, your feedback related to a customizable hotkey specifically to start/stop the recording feature is pretty good and I will be glad to pass it on to the corresponding team. We understand that it can be uncomfortable having the Arc Control UI getting into the recording each time.

I will let you know once the feedback has been passed to our team.

Yes sir, this is really uncomfortable since recording usually accupies storage and a user might not need to capture the whole thing. So due not having any capture hotkey in arc control center, we need to minimize game and switch back to the app again and again for toggling on/off screen capturing ! I hope as soon as possible you will make this feature available.

I want to let you know that we documented and passed your feedback related to both customizable keys in general and customizable keys to start/stop the recording function of the software to the corresponding team so it can be taken into consideration. We appreciate your recommendations and thank you for your continued support.
