Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Listed Twice in Device Manager Display Adapters GM965 XP 64

Is this normal? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I keep getting duplicate display adapters listed. This only happened after I updated the driver, but uninstalling it does not fix it. One Location is PCI bus 0, device 2, function 0 and the other is PCI bus 0, device 2, function 1.

Graphics: Intel GM965

Driver: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator for Windows XP 64 v 14.37.4.64.5218

Comp: Dell Inspiron 1520

I am sorry you are having problems but let me help you.

Please note that this behavior is normal and expected. When installing the driver on this chipset will list two of them but it is normal and there is nothing to worry about.

Is that because there are 2 cores?

In this case it is not related to the cores of the processor and the chipset is a different part. It may be a glitch on the software but should not affect at all on performance.
