My specs are up to date, but this update does not seem to work?

I have updated my computer recently, Most of the apps have stopped working, so a friend recommended getting the latest graphics update

/message/563985# 563985 24.20.100.6286: Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 [6th, 7th & 8th Generation, Apollo Lake & Gemini Lake]

But this update does not work even thoe my computer is way more then compatible with it.

any help appreciated

Please try the following:

 

  1. Download the .zip file of the latest Intel® HD Graphics 620 drivers. Here is the download link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27988/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10?product=96551 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27988/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10?product=96551
  2. Install the drivers by following the steps provided in this guide: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html

Hi I tried this, but it did not work and says that my system drivers are up to date, but really they arent
