I made a new pc with mainboard Asrock z170 Extreme 7+, CPU i7 6700k, 2x8GB ddr4 3200 memory Corsair LPX CMK16GX4M2B3200C16R.

Screen resolution is 1680x1050.

No matter what settings I do for memory or cpu on Intel HD 530 Graphics, in Internet Explorer 11, or Edge, when I open some internet pages and scroll on them on full screen, like the one I linked below, I get: "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered" or "Application has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware". I used other drivers also and still same problem.

http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/17085509318 C++ Run Time Error On Start Up - Forums - Hearthstone

I tryed other browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox, and they have no problems.

All other games or applications I play or use don't have any problem.

I even mounted a dedicated VGA AMD X1050 (which is worse then the one on cpu), and with that video card there is no problem.

So it seems there is a driver problem ...

I have tested Internet Explorer on full screen because Edge lacks of F11 and the graphics driver was stable. I did not get same message as "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered".

Hello.

I have a pc with an ASUS Z170-A motherboard, with an Intel i5-6600k and the same issue that Ronin described is happening to me. I also have 8Gb DDR4 ram.

I am only using the integrated graphics, as I do not have a dedicated graphics card at the moment, and, sometimes, not everytime, when using Internet Explorer or Edge, I get a 2-5s screen freeze and then a message is displayed - "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"; this happens without being in full screen, I do not know if this happens also when full screen. One place where this happens almost all the time is when hovering over product images on Amazon to view that image zoomed.

Also, in some webpages, sometimes, I get a sudden significant change in screen brightness when scrollling the page - particularly on Youtube. Also on Youtube, sometimes I can view videos without any problem, but at other times I get image and sound distortion while scrolling the page while the video is playing.

Using Flux, the PC gets extremely slow when the screen brightness begins to change.

On Visual Studio, when changing the device size on xaml editingI get a slight temporary distortion where that image changed.

Finally, one thing that never works properly is streaming from XboxOne, since, even though the image displays, it is very slow and I get a distortion where the image changes -this does not happen on my BayTrail tablet integrated graphics, which displays fine, so it should not happen on my desktop PC integrated graphics...

All my Intel drivers are up to date, first I had the ones that came with the motherboard CD and since this issues were there, I installed the drivers on Intel's website, which did not fix this problem.

Please look into this matter.

Hi,

Not with F11 full screen. Normal window full screen and resolution 1680x1050.

Is strange but if I change the size of the window I don't get that error.

Hi All,

I'm also have issues with screen freezes. But at my case it may take up to 1-2 minutes, then driver recovers by watchdog.

I'm getting about 1-3 hangs per day.

My system is ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII ranger, I7-6700K 32Gb ddr4, windows 10Pro. Screen resolution is 2650x1440.

Driver is latest available, 10.18.15.4279

Additionally, I can see the following entry into the windows applications log after each hang:

Strange that all reports at least currently are from ASUS boards owners, may be it is not Intel's but ASUS's issue?

That is indeed strange, but if this were an issue with the graphics driver itself, then, it will happen when using different screen resolutions.

I have escalated this situation to our engineering team. I am still waiting for any feedback.

When will be released drivers for Windows 10 for Intel 2nd Generation? I have Intel HD Graphics 2000 and I want to upgrade to Windows 10, but now I can't use Quick Sync for Windows 10. On WIndows 7 all works normally.

The Intel® HD Graphics 2000 or second generation graphics does not have support for Windows 10. See the list of supported operating system here: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-034343.htm Graphics Drivers — Supported Operating Systems

So, I should write to Microsoft, to they add support Intel® HD Graphics 2000 or second generation graphics for Windows 10?

You could check through Microsoft Windows Updates to see if they have compatible Inbox drivers.

Hello again.

Unfortunately, Surface Book users, some of which also rely on 6th Gen Intel HD Graphics for their display, are also reporting the same problems mentioned here with Intel Skylake i5-6600k.

- Change in brightness while scrolling on Microsoft Edge - https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/3qk5pt/sp4can_we_get_a_common_issues_thread_going/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/comments/3qk5pt/sp4can_we_get_a_common_issues_thread_going/

- Random freezes and the display driver crashing, which is solved by disabling the Intel HD Graphics (but not a solution, since the basic graphics are not enough to run a PC smoothly) - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfbook-surfperf/surface-book-freezing/9889417d-32ff-46c7-8be5-5ce8b92799b6 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfbook-surfperf/surface-book-freezing/9889417d-32ff-46c7-8be5-5ce8b92799b6.

Now that desktop users are not the only ones affected, can Intel do something about this, ASAP? Don't forget that desktop users payed almost 300€ for the last generation CPU with integrated graphics that, to this day, still does not work with the latest Windows Operating System Windows 10).

It's called an effective monopoly. Which always leads to worse quality and value for money ratio for customers.

Intel knows that if you want a x86-64 machine, there is a 90% you 'll buy (and pay for) their GPU anyway, because they come bundled with their CPUs and other x86-64 CPU manufacturers are going downhill.

Some years ago, OEMs and users could just buy the Intel CPU they wanted and choose some other solution for GPU with less buggy drivers, but now you have to pay for an Intel GPU too if you want the Intel CPU.

Why bother paying a bigger dev team to fix drivers faster?

I'm having this issue aswell, can intel fix this? Cpu Utilization around 12% constantly while using intel driver for iris pro 5200, tried the latest still the issue is not resolved. --> only sleep / hybernate can temporary fix it, but need a permanent fix! Please look into this seriously...

Does this issue still happen with driver version 4300?

Drivers for windows 8.1 64 bit are not included in that version for the iris pro 5200, I only see 6200 drivers? I really need a fix for this. Intel is sending me to Apple and Apple is sending me to Intel/Microsoft...

It's a driver issue i'm sure.

If you have an Apple system, they have requested that all questions regarding Apple computers and software be addressed directly with Apple support.

The Intel graphics drivers posted at https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ Intel® Download Center were not developed for Apple systems. I strongly recommend checking with Apple.

Allan.

I have a Lenovo Z70-80, and neither Windows Update, neither Intel Driver Update Utility, nor Device Manager can find the new 4300 driver.

I have tried installing manually, an got an error message that the driver is not validated for my system.

The drivers in the lenovo com support page for Z70-80 are actually older than the ones I have now.

What to do?

PS: For the time being, in order to fix the video losing frames and throwing green blocks at me, I just installed VLC (which has an option to not do GPU decoding) and also installed the YouTube FlashPlayer extension for Firefox. A new PC, and I have to do CPU decoding and use FlashPlayer to watch youtube! Go Intel! You are doing great work for us users.

Your computer would probably need to stick with computer manufacturer drivers if you already tried manual installation.

I thank you for the information about the workaround.
