Is there any kind of ETA for a fix on the most pressing issues (I'd say that would be the blue screens, followed by video acceleration issues)? It's been over a month since the Windows 10 release and I've about had it and am ready to go back to 8.1 - but for a few days that would be a waste of time.

I have followed step by step information you have provided on your previous post. I haven't been able to get same results. I did not get any blue screens while testing with driver version 4256.

See the following link to start troubleshooting blue screens: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/troubleshoot-blue-screen-errors Troubleshoot blue screen errors - Windows Help

BSOD or fail to shutdown when switching the monitor on/off or after hybrid sleep

1. Power on the computer (fast startup)

2. Monitor off and on when Windows loaded

3. Go to shutdown the PC

4. Shutdown fails of BSOD

Or

1. Power on the computer (fast startup)

2. Black screen

3. Monitor off and on

4. Black screen gone.

Yes, I have already found the main reason of BSOD's and shutdown fails on Windows 10. It is an Intel management engine driver 11.0.0.1158. I uninstalled it and installed the oldest version 9.5.24.1790. BSOD's gone and the shutdown process is working normal now. But there are still black screens in 90% cases when Windows 10 is loading from fast startup using the latest Intel HD vga drivers. Monitor connected via HDMI and when the monitor is ON before powering the PC you will see the black screen. So I have to switch the monitor OFF and ON to see the picture.

Please follow the steps I described here:

I found the main reason for my BSOD's, it is an Intel display audio driver. I removed it manualy and installed the default Windows 10 high definition audio driver. BSOD's gone, but black screens and shutdown fails remained.

How'd you do that exactly? I don't even see an intel display audio driver installed in the software list, nor an audio device that has anything to do with the display.

Intel, It's not funny. Win10 was released more than month ago, but you still didn't fixed BSOD problem. I can't believe that huge corporation can't solve this. Poor, very poor.

The 10.18.15.4256 drivers are now listed as previously released on driver download site, but no newer drivers are listed. So I went to the device manager and selected to update the driver and I indeed got a new one: 10.18.15.4271

However, my HDMI issue remain. I cannot get the sound working. Same problem as 4256 drivers. I tried also to update the Intel Audio Driver but it told me latest. Are you guys going to post the 4271 drivers on the download center? Maybe it contains a newer version of the HDMI audio driver.

@gabula: what hardware are you on? I got nothing here on my Broadwell NUC. However, I found these yet a newer version, 10.18.15.4278, floating around at station-drivers.com. And it seems that drivers are now unified across Win7-Win10.

I figured what the heck and installed the 4278 driver, but at least the issues pertaining to dual tile 4K screens are not gone. We'll see about the stability..

This is right up there with nVidia's failure to deliver when W2K came out (or was it XP?) - I've been doing PC builds since the Win 3.1 age and haven't seen such major issues after the release of a new OS in a long time. And it's not like the driver model hasn't changed before..

Yeah I had tried that didn't work. On the same post the OP said that the newer Windows 10 insider build (10525) fixed it for him without changing the drivers or doing anything else. So it must be a combination of messed up Intel drivers and messed up Windows 10 compatibility somehow. Here's hoping the newer Windows 10 builds updates will be available soon.

Well I have fixed the HDMI audio out issue in my case by a very weird suggestion from another forum. Simply uninstall Hyper-V. Go to Program and Features > Turn Windows Features on or off and remove Hyper-V. There seems to be a conflict and now my HDMI audio is working flawlessly.

After Installation Text and Boxes with Text is not being rendered properly. I have verified that the issue is the new drivers as rolling back the drivers to the Intel Generic driver does not cause the issue. The issue spreads to the text located inside the Windows 10 Start Menu over tine.

While installing, Received an error:

I have cleans all the drivers and reinstalled cleanly three times but still get the same install error and above issues.

Below are screenshots of the info page of the Intel Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver:

Attached is the information requested per the "Default level information for reporting Graphics issues" Post:

Happens 100% of the time. Since installation of the new drivers I have been having issues with rendering test and boxes with text. Newly rendered text is blurry and some text are unreadable due to the boxes it's contained in is black. Also while Installing I receive an error which I have a captured screenshot.

I found a work around to my issue:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/intel-hd-4600-graphics-driver-issue-in-windows-10/50078aaf-7612-4f83-afef-8d27879a1333?auth=1 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/intel-hd-4600-graphics-driver-issue-in-windows-10/50078aaf-7612-4f83-afef-8d27879a1333?auth=1

It appears to be an issue with the Application Optimal Mode settings within the control panel its self. I've set it for disable and it cleared my issue up. Ofc. Intel will need to fix the issue so that it will not happen in Windows 10 with it on.

But this is a work around!

Hope this helps someone!!!!

I found a workaround to the VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR BSOD when waking up from sleep. I went into the BIOS settings and dropped the video memory down from 512M to 256M. I can now use the intel driver without any issues. I would like to push the video memory back up to 512M but won't do that until a fix is released. Hope this helps.
