OpenCL apps hang on windows with Iris XE

Hi,

 

I'm a student currently exploring OpenCL. 

I'm trying to run a few apps using OpenCL but they seem to hang right at the start of querying the display drivers. I tried a simpler test by running clinfo tool and it behaves the same way and hangs indefinitely in the command prompt with no output

GPU: Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics
GPU Driver version: 27.20.100.9316

I've updated registries to map HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenCL\Vendors to the Intel_OpenCL_ICD64.dll

Using other tools such as GPU-Z or GPU Caps both show the GPU details correctly with OpenCL version and info, so i'm thinking perhaps this is an XE driver issue?

Try newer drivers, builds 9466 and 9616

In GPU Caps Viewer did you only check the OpenCL tab? Under the 3D demos tab there are actual demos to try.
