PCI-E Root Port devices

I'm looking for desktop, workstation and server motherboards which is support the most of PCI-Express Root Port devices. I found that desktop X58 chipset support up to 10 PCI-Express Root Port devices. Is that correct? Is here any Intel chipset which is support more PCI-Express Root Port devices?
