Problem Enabling Hardware Accelerated Playback for N2000/D2000 Series

Get to step 10g of http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/enabling_hardware_accelerated_playback_ubuntu_12.pdf http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/enabling_hardware_accelerated_playback_ubuntu_12.pdf

The problem is "Intel CDV (load along with IMG driver)" is not in the list of staging drivers.

Has anyone had any luck installing this. I've had trouble running this board on XP (I couldn't run XBMC, it wouldn't go past the splash screen). Win 8 installs but is not fully supported so my last resort is linux (I don't want to buy win7).

Details:

MB; DN2800MT

250G HDD

2G Ram

OS: MythBuntu 12.04.

I've noticed the example is on Ubuntu not Mythbuntu, does anyone know if this makes any difference? I might try Ubuntu to see it makes any difference.

I buyed the same mb for realize a small HTPC, but I have success for the moment only with Windows 7 (32bit edition).

On this platform all run perfectly (excluse pci-e tv tuner).

XBMC version 11 or beta 12 is exceptional, no one problem. Running Full HD 1920x1080 H264 video

without drop frame and at max CPU usage 15%.

Hope in future that on Linux we do the same...

but by now I believe only in bananas developer, they make good choice better than Intel can do.

I forgot to tell that can use the guide on reply on this site to obtain some good result on Ubuntu 12.04 not Mythbuntu that you choose instead.

Are you saying you've tried it with Ubuntu and got it to work?

Sorry but I'm not English and write in English that remember from school.

I try Ubuntu 12.04 with drivers from sarvatt repository but no luck with XBMC.

( I think that you are interesting obtain result with XBMC. )

Oh no that's not what I wanted to hear. So the only OS you've been able to use is win7?

Unfortunately at the moment only Win7 32 bit, I obtain excellent result with XBMC.

Hope in the future others system can do the same.
