 Please download and scan your system using our tool, Intel® System Support Utility ONLY in the affected machines, so we can help check your system info first. Once finished downloading, open the tool, click on scan 'Everything', click next, then save the system information to a .txt file. Please provide the .txt file.


This document will be necessary to check your entire system, in order to find possible errors or incompatibilities.

Pyside2/6 application compatibility issue with Intel(R) XE graphics driver version 31.0.101.4953


1. Problem Description:

I'm having a compatibility issue with a python app packaged based on pyside2/6 and pyinstaller. Specifically, when I try to run this application on a device with an Intel(R) XE graphics card, the application crashes during the "app = Qapplication(sys.argv)" initialization phase. This issue seems to be related to a specific version of the Intel graphics driver.

2. Affected Software and Hardware:

Software:
python version: python 3.7.x(32 bit)和3.11.x(64 bit)
pyside version: pyside2/6 [5.15x, 6.6.x]
pyinstaller version: [4.10.x]
Hardware:
Model: intel(r) xe graphics
Affected driver versions: 31.0.101.4953 and above
Problem-free driver version: Versions earlier than 31.0.101.4953
3. Steps to reproduce the problem:

Run the application on a system with an Intel(R) XE graphics driver (version 31.0.101.4953 and above) installed.
The program crashes while executing "app = Qapplication(sys.argv)".
4. Problem Impact:

Due to this issue, users with the latest version of Intel graphics drivers are unable to run our app properly.

5. Guesses and Additional Information:

I'm guessing that this issue might be due to a compatibility issue between the latest version of Intel's graphics driver and the Qt for Python platform. Unfortunately, I can't provide crash reports or error logs at this time because the application crashes during the initialization phase.
