Realtek HD Audio driver suppresses first second of audio after sleep

I have recently purchased a new HP All-In-One PC, which uses an Intel chipset and a Realtek HD Audio for sound output, with driver 6.0.9585.1 of oct 3 2023.
When I play a sound fragment, the first two seconds of sound are absent. After that, all is OK.
Sounds played immediately after are also OK, but when I wait 10 seconds or so, the first part goes missing again.
This is very annoying as my main application plays short sound fragments some time apart.
When I connect an external soundsystem over HDMI, which uses a different driver, this does not happen.
I read that the Realtek sound driver uses a sort of power-saving function and needs to wake up after each sleep.
This is unwanted as my PC is always mains powered and power saving is not so relevant.

How do I solve this ?

I agree, at the moment it is my problem. In this chain of suppliers (HP delivering a PC with Win11 and Intel chipset promoting a Realtek driver with unwanted behaviour) It seems impossible to find a party willing to improve my experience as an end user.

I will try blocking the driver updates, thanks for the suggestion.

In the mean time I hope Intel will be more careful when promoting drivers with unwanted behaviour.

Contact HP and/or Realtek for support.  Realtek is not Intel.

I have approached both HP and Realtek but did not get a response from either of them.

As Windows 11 considers Realtek as the best driver for Intel chipsets, this driver is re-installed every time after my attempts with other drivers. So I hope that someone at Intel can inform me how to get rid of the "Sleepy" behaviour of the driver. You are promoting this driver...

It is realtek's driver.  Just because they did not respond does not make it Intel's problem.  Trying to tie it to the intel chipset is a bit of a stretch.  And, it is HP's device, which you paid for their support when you purchased the device.  What you are describing is not an intel problem.

Are you saying windows and/or IDSA are continuing to reinstall the driver that you do not want?

If so, you can block that.

Install the driver you want.

Then, run the microsoft wuShowHide utility (attached) to block the driver that keeps getting reinstalled.

What is your processor model number?
