I reproduced this issue on Ubuntu 22.04. The power consumption and everything else is exactly the same.
From the original issue:
Hello,
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro with Arc A370M.
I've been struggling with power consumption until today - I've turned the dGPU off in the UEFI and I finally got the consumption from about 20W to 9-10W - doubling my battery life.
I'm currently looking for a way to turn it off at runtime as rebooting is quite annoying - save all work, reboot, reopen all work again.
I've tried to use the acpi_call example script at
/usr/share/acpi_call/examples/turn_off_gpu.sh
to turn it off but everything failed. The output is here.
It would be really helpful if I could turn it off at runtime.

Hello jiriks74,
Thank you for posting on the Intel®️ communities. I understand that you are having power consumption issues with your Intel® Arc™ A370M Graphics, I will be more than glad to assist you.
To have a better understanding of the situation, please answer the following questions:
- Provide the step by step instructions to replicate the issue in Ubuntu in case that we need it.
- To know your hardware and software environment, download and attach the report for the following tool Intel® System Support Utility for the Linux* Operating System, you can find the steps on the link Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.

To reproduce the behavior:
1. Install Ubuntu 22.04
2. Install powertop
3. Unplug the laptop from the power source
4. Run `sudo powertop --calibrate` and let it finish - can take quite some time
5. See that the power consumption is high - in my case over 20W
6. Turn off the laptop
7. Turn it on and go into the UEFI
8. Turn the dGPU off - for me I needed to change `Switchable graphics` to `UMA Graphics` (I think it was called.
9. Boot back into Ubuntu
10. Run `sudo powertop`
11. See that the power consumption is lower - in my case less than 10W
Since I use Endeavour OS (Arch Linux) as my daily driver (to get the most up to date drivers and kernel) I have Ubuntu on an external drive. I'm cannot get to the drive right now to get you the information from your utility but I'll send it to you as soon as I have some time to start up Ubuntu again.

Hello,
I'm sorry but it's exams time at my college and I need my laptop for studies so I cannot mess around with my OS as of now. But I should be done next week so I think that I'll be able to send the SSU report by the next weekend.
