Hi there,
I was using windows 7 and i could change screen brightness for every my pressing to brightness button. Each press was equal to 10% of all brightness. Then i install windows 10 now and each press is equal to 2% of brightness anymore. i can fix this problem with changing driver of display adapter on device manager. It is working as before when i select Microsoft Basic Display Adapter from list. But this once i cannot use external monitor. If i change driver version to Intel HD Graphics 4000 Version: 10.18.10.4252 i cannot change my brightness correctly. Thanks beforehand to reply.

Hello tahirbalci,
I understand that after you upgraded the operating system to Windows 10* screen brightness no longer works properly.
Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.
In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.
Regards,
Fred D.

Hello tahirbalci,
Thanks for the information you sent to me.
I noticed that Lenovo* does not provide Windows 10* drivers for that specific laptop model, therefore not all of the computer features will be able to work fine.
Since your computer comes with two video cards there is a special graphics driver that needs to be installed. This graphics driver is provided by the computer manufacturer under supported operating systems only. The computer manufacturers usually customize the graphics drivers to make both video cards work fine with each other.
At this point what I can recommend is reinstalling any of the operating systems Lenovo* has validated for your computer. This link will show you the operating system that are compatible with your laptop https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/cr/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z580/downloads https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/cr/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-z-series-laptops/ideapad-z580/downloads
Let me know if you have or not any other inquiry.
Regards,
Fred D.

@intel_corp In my opinion, this is so simple thing. Just, brightness leveling must change. You leveled it once for each press. You can change it for each press to 10% brighness changing. I think you can update your driver. Because, I dont want to change my operating system anymore. Thanks! (And i cannot write message or reply here! Page goes up when i press any button!)
