Hello. Issue with a combination of Sparkle A770 16G and Samsung Odyssey G5 G50D. After some time of operation, artifacts start appearing, the system becomes unresponsive. In the console, 'i915 drm error on pipe A 0x00000080' is printed at regular intervals. After adding the parameter 'i915.enable_psr=0' when booting Linux, the issue no longer occurs, at least so far.

Hi realBIGBUGEX,

Thank you for contacting the Intel Community Forum.

To assist us in investigating the issue further, could you please help provide the following:

  1. Have you had a chance to try Ubuntu? since it’s the officially supported Linux distribution for Intel Arc GPUs.
  2. Have you attempted installing the drivers using the instructions from the Intel documentation on installing client GPUs?
  3. In what applications or games do the artifacts first appear on your system?
  4. How long does it typically take for the artifacts to appear?

Best Regards,

Hello.

  1. No, I haven't tried Ubuntu on the system.
  2. I strictly followed the steps for installing Intel's software. Afterwards, I tried to remove them but the problem persisted.
  3. 4) More like noise in the picture. It has even happened at the system login screen. If lucky, the noise appears after 5-10 minutes of browsing with Firefox.

For a long time I had switched to Windows. There it worked without this problem. But the hard drive with Windows broke down and I decided to try this fix suggested by the artificial intelligence of the search engine.
