The graphics resolution changes from 32 bit to 8 bit every time I turn off the computer.

When I turn off my computer the graphics resolution changes from 32 bit to 8 bit every time. When I start the computer again I have to go through the time consuming process of changing it .....never happened before. How can I correct this?? Using windows 7 with Intel Pentium P6200@2,13GHz with total memory 8 GB. I ran the Detect utility Reference# 0358 1715...see attached.

BTW

This has been very confusing...spent the last 3 hours on this site. I finally found your BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING info buried somewhere.

Please consider posting this at the top of the page next to "Browse" and "Communities".

Sounds to me like a corrupt user profile. To check, create a new profile, log off your current profile, log on with the new profile. Then, set your resolution, log off, and then log on using the new profile.

If the resolution is maintained, your original profile is damaged.

Thanks Al...

I am not very "techy" and not sure what you mean or where to go on my computer to do this. Can you humor me with a bit more information?? (-:

On W7, Start, control panel, user accounts and family safety, add or remove user accounts, create new account.

Then create the new account (which I called profile).
