Soo, I've got an Optimus enabled laptop, meaning switchable graphics, so I can't change display settings via the Nvidia control panel. I have to use Intel's control panel. Problem being, the intel control panel appears to be kind of broken. Regardless of what I enter, I get the message "This custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity." The only options that worked were options that were already on the app. It's so bad I can't even add my native res... I'm using Intel HD graphics 4400.

Hi TheSuspect,
It is necessary to review with Hewlett Packard which the maximum resolution on your laptop is. Now, if your laptop has switchable graphics, it is possible to disable Intel graphics in the BIOS, but if it has Hybrid graphics, it is necessary to use both drivers at the same time.
Your pc manufacturer use customized drivers, so it is necessary to install the drivers available at their website. Make sure, you have the latest BIOS and chipset.

I have two graphics adapters, so I'm pretty sure it's switchable graphics. My BIOS, chipset, Nvidia, and Intel drivers are all up to date.
